You are the salt of the earth

How can a moral degradation happen in a country whose 95% of population claim to be Christians? Do you know that in 1990, the birth rate was 2.3 children per woman and this is the norm for a nation to perpetuate. In 2000 the rate was lowered to 1.3 births per woman, which is catastrophic.  The same report says that in 1990 of 100 children, 11 were born outside marriage, and in 2000 the number of these children rose to 21. This means that each 5^th child from the country is born in adultery. Lord Jesus says in the Gospel:

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. (Matthew 5:13)(NASB)

The purpose of salt is to stop the damage and we, as Christians have this responsibility. How is it that people who are expected to be salt were affected by the bad influences of the last days?

Another purpose of salt is to give taste. Why have people lost now their taste for life? Because there are very few Christians around who live their life in a beautiful way.

Because Christians lose their power to salt and because they do not have impact in society, they are trampled under foot, that means that their values such as family, children, church, etc. are trampled under foot.

Study the Scriptures that give you the power to salt and heed the words of the New Testament, that say:

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.  (Colossians 4:6)(NASB)
