Many people today complain that the press is devoid of values and promotes non-values or destroys existing ones. Journalists are said to be corrupt and for a certain amount of money they are ready to write anything and for anyone. It is not true in all cases, but what is happening in the world of journalism reflects what is happening in the whole society where the proportion of corruption and lack of values is just as high. If you have chosen to be a journalist or a blogger who has values, you have integrity and you want to promote values, I want to share some useful tips.
Make order in your value system
It is good to sit down for a day, or maybe even spend several days and make a list of your values. What is and is not good in your opinion and what you want or do not want to promote. I don’t know if you’ve ever done this, but if not, it’s a good idea to start with this and maybe do it today.
Be objective in approaching the topics
When preparing an article or report, do all the necessary research and all the investigations to make sure that you will not present a preconceived or partial opinion and thus put in a bad light people or their values. Check everything well and when you are completely sure that you have the truthful information, only then publish the article or report.
Don’t write for the sake of writing
Being employed at a newspaper or news agency, etc. some journalists or reporters write because they have to write and they have nowhere to go. They are no longer so interested in the quality of their writing, but only in writing, to get it done. So do some bloggers who have set a frequency of blogging and then, being subject to their own requirements, they write anything, just for the sake of writing. Don’t fall into this trap. Always seek to write quality things and to promote, to transmit values. Journalists and bloggers who want to serve people will always have many topics that they can hardly even cover, because they see many needs of people that need to be met and want to be met.
Be a person of integrity!
