Learn how to be a faithful witness of Jesus Christ from the example of the apostles

This morning I was pleasantly surprised to find in my mailbox an envelope twice as big as the others. I was very happy when I saw the volume, but even greater when I opened it and saw the reason for the volume – the Inductive Bible Study Manual based on the book  Acts, part I. I thank Pastor Vasile Filat, who dearly fulfills the service of the gospel of God and takes care of my spiritual condition, using various methods (even letters by mail).

Although I have not yet studied this course, in this article I want to write how the author presents this manual and the impressions of those who have already studied it. These things motivated me to look forward to studying it in depth at the session that will take place on January 2-14, in Chisinau.

This textbook contains eight lessons that study in depth the first 12 chapters of the book of Acts. Observation sheets, dictionary of words studied, maps, various tables and information that help you understand the context of the times in which the apostles lived and to delve deeper into the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The author begins with the following words:

“POWER. The power to be what God wants you to be! The power to do what God wants you to do! This power belongs to those who believe! … May, through this study, you discover for yourself what it means to be a faithful witness of Jesus Christ, to the ends of the earth. And may you hear Him say to you, “Good, good and faithful servant!”

Here are some impressions from those who have already studied this course:

“We thank God for this book that we read in the Bible. It is the history of the Early Church, it is the deeds of the apostles that will encourage us. In this course we will learn about the example of the apostles’ witnesses.” (Mia Oglice, Director of the Mission “Precept Ministries Eurasia” source: Moldova Creștină TV

It is a very profound Bible study. Here the secrets of the work of the gospel from the first centuries are learned. How did the apostles work? What did they do differently? We see that there was such a great grace upon them, because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God can work with the same power today if we do the right thing and follow the same principles, the same teachings that the apostles followed.” (Vasile Filat, Director of the Institute of Inductive Bible Studies in Moldova)

Jesus says to His disciples:

“but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”(Acts 1:8 NASB)

In the book of Acts we see the fulfillment of this promise and the way in which the disciples, eyewitnesses of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, went to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, to Samaria, and to the ends of the earth to proclaim the gospel for which we are glad today, too. I invite you to study this textbook and discover the secrets of the gospel work. Thus, you will become faithful witnesses of our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the fruits of the power of the Holy Spirit for the Kingdom of Heaven.
