How can you feel God’s presence?

Question:

Why have I never felt the presence of God? How can a man feel His presence, as we feel the wind, the cold, the heat? Why can’t I hear Him as people hear the birds, the rustle of the leaves? How can I answer my friends when they ask me if I have seen God or where God is? Many ask me. If I say that I see Him, I will be a liar, because I do not see Him. If I answer that I see Him, I will deny my own faith in God. I have long wanted to talk about this with a pastor, but only now has it occurred to me to write to you.

Now no one can see God

Before falling into sin, man communicated openly with God, but it hasn’t been like this since falling into sin. Sin puts a barrier to man’s ability to communicate with God, as it is written in Isaiah 59:

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.” (NASB)

Those who will go to the Kingdom of Heaven will see God face to face

When we get to the Kingdom of Heaven, we will be able to communicate with God and see Him face to face. In the state we are in now, in this world, we cannot see God as Adam and Eve saw Him.

At God’s judgment we will all see Him

At the judgement we will all see God. Hurry to know God. Begin to read the Holy Scriptures, to study them. I invite you to study together with the “Good News” church in Chisinau at the seminar in September 23 – 25, the book II Peter.

The same goes for colleagues who ask you questions. Give them this article to read and urge them to read the Bible.

We can know God

God has put in us consciousness and the ability to know Him, and also by looking at creation, we can know God:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse”. (Romans 1:18-20 NASB)

God wants us to know and seek Him, this is the desire of His heart. This is what God wants from us:

“And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us”. (Acts 17:26-27 NASB)

We must make the effort to know God, and we have that opportunity. By looking at creation, we can understand God’s qualities, His unseen attributes, His power, but the way of salvation, about the forgiveness of sins, the inheritance of the Kingdom of Heaven, we can learn if we study the Bible. Holy Scripture, the Bible, contains 66 books written by 44 authors over a period of 1,600 years. In these books God reveals to us the Lord Jesus Christ and how we can receive the forgiveness of sins. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Jesus said:

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me”. (John 14:6 NASB)

And the apostles said:

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved”. (Acts 4:12 NASB)

If we reject these truths and the way God reveals Himself, then there is no chance for us to be saved.
