Can you be saved without attending the church?

Question:

I have accidentally discovered your site for a week and you should know that you did a great job. I have read dozens of articles on the site that helped me to find out the answer to many questions and meanwhile I started reading the Bible (I read it once as a child). What do you think about a Christian’s salvation without going to church (no matter what kind of) being guided only by the teachings of the Holy Bible? Is it possible that a simple man with the Bible in his hand to get to know God without going to church?

Going to church does not save us, but the faith in Jesus Christ and entering into the New Covenant the Savior made by His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary.

The Bible was left for our salvation

Can you be saved without attending the church?

That is why God left the Bible to tell us His will and the way of salvation for all of us. To the end of the Gospel of John it is written:

Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:30-31)(NASB)

Lord Jesus, in a conversation with Jews who sought to kill him said:

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me. (John 5:39)(NASB)

See, that is why God left us the Scriptures, that we may believe through them in the Lord Jesus and by this faith to have the gift of eternal life.

The task of the Church is to bring the Gospel to the people, to all people, that is to preach the truth of the Holy Scripture, so that all may believe in Jesus Christ and be saved.

I know people who have entered the covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ reading the Bible and this was expected, because this is the primary purpose for which God has left It – the salvation of people. But there is the following very important aspect.

Christians serve the Church of Christ

Everyone who has become a Christian will look for the Church of Christ and when I say it, I do not refer to the building, but the assembly of the saved, because that is the Church. Lord Jesus says that the Church is His body and every Christian is a member of this body and one can not exist if it is not integrated into the body, if not serving others and not being served by others. The Scripture says:

For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5)(NASB)

The Scripture also says:

Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25)(NASB)

There are other reasons for a Christian to attend the church and he will never leave the assembly of the saved.

I urge the author of the question to seek a local church where the word of God is preached and where saved people gather, who have the gospel in their heart, so that they may live and preach it to others.
