Can a child be cured if he takes part in every liturgy?

Question:

How are autistic children cured if they take part in every liturgy?

I assume that this question comes from the heart of a parent who desperately wants his child healing. Many parents came to Jesus to ask for the healing of their children and sometimes were deeply discouraged by people arround them for doing this, but despite all discouragements, they insisted to come to Jesus and asked Jesus to heal their children and they received it. Here is such a case.

While He was saying these things to them, a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.” Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples. And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak; for she was saying to herself, “If I only touch His garment, I will get well.” But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well. When Jesus came into the official’s house, and saw the flute-players and the crowd in noisy disorder, He said, “Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him. But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. This news spread throughout all that land. (Matthew 9: 18-26)

Another case, described in the New Testament, says:

When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is a lunatic and is very ill; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. I brought him to Your disciples, and they could not cure him.” And Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17: 14-21)

It is important to know what the Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper is and what it is not. Holy Communion was not established by the Lord Jesus to heal people or their children, but to be a sign to those who entered the New Covenant with the Savior by faith and thus receive forgiveness of sins and being born again, inherit the kingdom of God. If you have not entered this New Covenant with Jesus Christ, you must hurry to read the New Testament to understand the message of the Gospel, believe this message, then you repent sicerely and enter the new covenant with Jesus. Thus, you will receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. More than our physical healing and the healing of our children, God is interested in the salvation of our souls which can only be achieved by entering into the New Covenant. Often the hardships and illnesses in our lives and the lives of our children are permitted by God just so that we seek God’s face and become aware of the great need we have – the need for salvation. I therefore advise that you to take hold of a Bible if you do not have one and begin to study it systematically. Read the Bible systematically to your child, too and help him understand the truth of the Scripture. Make Jesus Christ known to your child and God will give him/her sound mind and understanding of the Gospel.

Then, since you understand the Gospel, hurry to enter into the New Covenant with Jesus Christ and encourage your child to do the same. Only after entering the New Covenant with God your child will have the right to take part in the Holy Communion. Otherwise unconscious participation in the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is exactly what the Bible says not to do – do not take the Lord’s Supper unworthily.

Pray continually for the healing of the child and discipline yourself to fast asking God for healing. Continue to go to a local church where you can be taught the Word of God where you receive solid spiritual food. Tell your minister or ministers of that church about the need of healing for the child they have the entire church pray together and wait patiently until God will heal. Try to understand from the Word of God what causes this disease.

I recommend you for personal study of the Scriptures two courses which are well addressed to this topic of healing. The first is the “Lord, I want to know” by Kay Arthur. This study is about the names by which God revealed Himself to people and one of the names is Jahovah – Rafa, which translated from Hebrew means “The God who heals”. The course contains a very good and deep lesson which will help you understand better when God heals our diseases, which are conditions that must be met in order to be healed. Another course on the same subject by the same author is “Lord, heal my hurts.” It addresses very deep physical and spiritual healing. These books will never be found in bookstores, but if you contact us using the form for asking questions and give us your address and phone number, we can help you get these books. May God bless you and give you faith for the healing of your child.
