They don’t tell you about deliverance when they teach you…

“We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ!” (Ephesians 1:3)

If God has blessed His children *in such a high and holy place*, then there is no room left for curses, demons, or evil spirits to coexist with the Holy Spirit in the life of a person who is truly born again.

The Bible never presents believers who have been saved, cleansed, sealed, and made God’s dwelling place as people who are *still possessed by evil spirits*. For the apostles, such an idea would be unimaginable. The moment the Spirit of God comes to dwell in a believer, darkness is driven out — light and darkness cannot share the same temple (2 Corinthians 6:14-16).

So it is absolutely wrong, unbiblical, and manipulative to label faithful pastors or Christians as “hirelings” simply because they refuse to accept the false teaching that Christians need deliverance from demons after salvation. Some use fear, spiritual intimidation, and emotional pressure to keep believers dependent on a so-called “deliverance ministry” instead of rooting them firmly in the Gospel.

This tactic is spiritual manipulation. It shifts believers’ focus away from Christ and His finished work — and places it on chasing demons. Satan loves this because it distracts Christians from the Gospel, from spiritual growth, and from trusting in the sufficiency of the Holy Spirit.

False ministers — often lacking sound doctrine — use fear to control immature believers and keep them in bondage, instead of anchoring them in the freedom Christ has already won. But the true power of the Church has always been in preaching the Gospel, making disciples, and building believers in the Word — not in turning churches into deliverance theatres.

Let’s return to the apostolic foundation:

✔ Preach the Gospel

✔ Teach the Word

✔ Lead believers to maturity in Christ

✔ Trust the Holy Spirit to transform, sanctify, and keep His people

Christ’s sheep are safe in the hands of the Good Shepherd — not tormented and “re-delivered” every week.
