God has blessed us to live in times of greatest religious freedom, but the pace of planting new churches needs growth. There is immense potential for spreading the Gospel in new places, and God is calling courageous and dedicated believers to carry this mission forward. When we choose to step out of our comfort zone and actively engage in planting new churches, we become part of the extraordinary work that God is doing in our country.
After hearing the message I preached at the Baptist Church in Cioburciu, Andrei and Olesea Procopenco responded to the call and came forward in front of the church along with others who repented of their old sins, choosing to follow the path of salvation through Christ. They started working with children and inviting them to church but realized they needed training. Thus they came to the Precept Institute, then to the International School of Mission, after graduating from which they went in 2017 to take over the work of the Baptist church in Țărăncuța, which had just gone through a deep spiritual crisis due to wrong teachings that had been slipped in.
During the 7 years of leading the church in Țărăncuța, God has helped Andrei lead many to Christ and form a team of 18 leaders who do mission work in 17 localities, where they systematically preach the Gospel to over 400 children and adults. During April 14-16, Andrei will come together with key leaders from the team to join other church planters where together we will analyze the progress of mission work, learn from Scripture about establishing order for growth in new churches, and about concrete steps that need to be followed in our context to maintain a healthy biblical rhythm in forming new churches. Pray together with us for Andrei, his team, and all missionaries and pastors who will participate in this working meeting and join our work in supporting a missionary.
