Is divorce permitted if you have found out that your husband committed adultery via phone or internet?

Question:

If a married man commits adultery via phone/internet sex with several women, is it still considered adultery and divorce permitted?

Yes, it is true that sex by phone or internet is also adultery, according to the words of the Lord Jesus who said:

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a womanwith lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)(NASB)

If you somehow are the wife of this man, I realize how great your pain is because of what he has done. All along, I urge you not to seek opportunities and justification for divorce, but look for solutions to help your husband to repent of his sins and turn wholeheartedly to God. Seek to do everything you can to save your marriage and children (if you have them), so that they may grow with their father. Whatever the cause, you should know that God hates divorce and says:

“ForI hatedivorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “andhim who covers his garment withwrong,” says the LORD of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. (Malachi 2:16)(NASB)

Take heed to your thoughts and by God’s grace and power, as there is at least a little possibility, make the effort to save your husband and family.
