In the Gospel of Luke it is reported that Joseph and Mary were already living in Nazareth when they went to Bethlehem for the census and the virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus. In Matthew, it is written that they settled in Nazareth only after Herod died and after fleeing to Egypt. Not that it would be very important, but maybe from a historical point of view I don’t understand things. God help!
The beauty of the four gospels in the New Testament is that each completes the message of the others with details to give us a complete picture of what happened. In this way, we learn from the Gospel of Luke that Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth before the birth of Jesus Christ and that they went to Bethlehem for the census at that time. Then, after the birth of Jesus, in order to hide from Herod, Joseph and Mary, together with the baby Jesus, fled to Egypt, and after returning they lived in Nazareth.
