What will happen to the people that say that they are \u201cChristian\u201c but when angry they cursed and later on they regretted it\u2026Can they have forgiveness if their sorry? Do the cursing has any effect on them or on the people they cursed? And if they cursed themselves?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know how Christian are these kind of people if they dare to curse others or themselves when angry. I advise them to analyze themselves and to see if they were truly born again and if they have the Spirit of God in them. The Scripture says :<\/p>\n

\n

Words of thanksgiving and cursing pour out from the same mouth. My friends, this should not happen! No spring of water pours out sweet water and bitter water from the same opening. A fig tree, my friends, cannot bear olives; a grapevine cannot bear figs, nor can a salty spring produce sweet water. Are there any of you who are wise and understanding? You are to prove it by your good life, by your good deeds performed with humility and wisdom. But if in your heart you are jealous, bitter, and selfish, don’t sin against the truth by boasting of your wisdom. Such wisdom does not come down from heaven; it belongs to the world, it is unspiritual and demonic. Where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is also disorder and every kind of evil. But the wisdom from above is pure first of all; it is also peaceful, gentle, and friendly; it is full of compassion and produces a harvest of good deeds; it is free from prejudice and hypocrisy. (James 3:10-17)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"\"A person speaks from his heart, from the mind, and if somebody curses that is a sign that the heart of that person was not changed and that person wasn\u2019t born again. The same thing Jesus Christ said it again:<\/p>\n

A healthy tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a poor tree bear good fruit. Every tree is known by the fruit it bears; you do not pick figs from thorn bushes or gather grapes from bramble bushes. A good person brings good out of the treasure of good things in his heart; a bad person brings bad out of his treasure of bad things. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Luke 6:43-45)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We need to be careful with every word we say, because we will answer in front of God for every word that cames from our lips. Our Savior said:<\/p>\n

\n

To have good fruit you must have a healthy tree; if you have a poor tree, you will have bad fruit. A tree is known by the kind of fruit it bears. You snakes – how can you say good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good person brings good things out of a treasure of good things; a bad person brings bad things out of a treasure of bad things. “You can be sure that on the Judgment Day you will have to give account of every useless word you have ever spoken. Your words will be used to judge you – to declare you either innocent or guilty.” (Matthew 12:33-37)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As for the effect of the curse, we already know what it is for that person that says it. That person will answer for what he said and if he cursed others unreasonably then will happen just like its written in the Bible:<\/p>\n

\n

Curses cannot hurt you unless you deserve them. They are like birds that fly by and never light. (Proverbs 26:2)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

About forgiveness, the good news is that the person that cursed can receive forgiveness, because we have God\u2019s promise that says:<\/p>\n

\n

But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. (1 John 1:9)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If this promise refers to every sin, then every man and every woman that cursed need to repent from their sins and from now on to live according to the word of God and become a child of God just like it says:<\/p>\n

\n

If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don’t give the Devil a chance. (Ephesians 4:26-27)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then\u2026<\/p>\n

\n

Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you. And do not make God’s Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free. Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ. (Ephesians 4:29-32)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

May God help us think like that, talk like that, and live like that.<\/p>\n
