I have watched the debate of Doru Cardei, the pastor of the Pentecostal Church \u201cPhiladelphia\u201d and Angela Frolov who represents gay organization GenderDoc-M. In her intentions to get people \u201cused\u201d (as she stated twice) with homosexuals (and homosexuality) Mrs. Frolov tried to undermine the truth of the Bible by asking pastor Cardei why he and all the other Christians wear cloths made with different fabrics because the Bible prohibits that. This is a very challenging question, and even though the person who asked the question was not expecting an answer, it should be explained. So …<\/p>\n

Why did God prohibit the people of Israel to wear cloths made of two kinds of material mixed together?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For the first time we see this commandment in Leviticus 19:19 and it says:<\/p>\n

\n

You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together. (Leviticus 19:19)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The second time this commandment is mentioned in Deuteronomy:<\/p>\n

\n

You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed which you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled. You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together. (Deuteronomy 22:9-11)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

God\u2019s commandments had a practical application. In the case of two kinds of seeds, it is said that these plants will have a negative impact upon each other. It was the same with plowing with an ox and a donkey making the job more difficult for the ox and for the donkey, because they were different in power as well as in hight and instead of completing the job they would have tortured each other. So, as you see God takes care of His creation and He teaches us, the people, to do the same.
As related to the clothing of wool and linen mixed together, Jonathan Morrow in his book Think Christianity<\/a> on page 166 cites Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart who states that through this commandment God prohibited the children of Israel to get involved in occult practices of the Canaanites who were mixing together different species of animals, plants and cloth to \u201cmarry them together\u201d and thus worshiping their pagan gods. The land of Canaan where God brought the children of Israel was full of pagan practices, idolatry and immorality and God gave laws to the people of Israel to protect them from anything that could get them into immorality and idolatry.
We also see something similar in the New Testament. On the markets of roman cities there were people who sold meat\u00a0 as it is practiced today in the whole world. But at those roman markets, where also the christians lived, they were selling meat that was sacrificed to idols in the pagan temples. That is why, Apostle Paul told those christians that when they were to buy the meat, they should not ask where the meat was coming from but if they were told that the meat was sacrificed to idols before, they were not to buy that meat.
The wearing of cloths of two kinds of materials was a commandment applicable to that context of place and time. It is not the same with homosexuality. This is a universal wickedness, it is a sin and a perverse addiction that affects all the people around the world in the same manner if it is promoted and tolerated. That is why, God is absolutely against this defilement of the body, which\u00a0 goes against the human flesh. The condemnation of this sin can be found in multiple scriptures from the Old as well as from the New Testament.
I also have a few questions to ask… If we follow the logic of the question that Mrs. Frolov asked, that means that stealing could be accepted as normality in our society and is no longer current? Can you cancel this commandment?<\/p>\n

You shall not steal. (Deuteronomy 5:19)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Or maybe even this commandment is not current anymore?<\/p>\n

\n

You shall not murder. (Deuteronomy 5:17)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Or should we cancel and consider outdated this commandment?<\/p>\n

\n

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (Deuteronomy 5:20)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I urge Mrs Frolov and all the people who departed from God to abandon their wicked ways, to listen to the whisper of the Holly Spirit within their hearts and receive God\u2019s calling to repent. God loves you and His desire is to save your soul. No matter how great your sins are, He is ready to receive you, to forgive you and through the Lord Jesus Christ give you a new life, beautiful and full of light on this earth and then He will accept you in His Kingdom. Believe with all your heart in the Lord Jesus and become his disciple. <\/p>\n
