I think the preacher you have written about is a hypocrite who managed to deceive many people and mislead them. In the Bible it is also written about such alleged servants. In the III Epistle of John it is written about Diotrephes who became the pastor of the church where Gaius was, the recipient of this letter. Diotrephes was a bad man, who sought to have preeminence and he neither listened to a higher authority nor to the apostle John. Apostle John wrote that Diotrephes never knew God, that means he was not born again and his evil deeds were an evidence.
