Is it wrong for a Christian to go to a tanning bed to get a tan during the summer months, if she doesn\u2019t have time to lay out in the sun because of working full time? Is it wrong to want a tan?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is not wrong or sin to get a tan<\/a>. Moreover, each child and mature needs to be exposed to sunlight to be healthy.<\/p>\n

I suppose the reason for asking is more one pertaining to appearance, not to health. It is known that most women who use tanning bed want to darken their skin.<\/p>\n

It is not a violation of God\u2019s commandments to darken your skin using a tanning bed, but it seems better not to resort to this method because it carries a high risk of contracting skin cancer<\/a> and other dangers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
