Please, answer me based on the Scriptures if it is lawful for Christian married couples, with mutual consent, to have sexual intercourse during the woman\u2019s menstrual cycle?<\/em> Is it a sin and an abomination before God?<\/em>\u00a0Thank you.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

God forbid! Sexual relations between spouses during the menstrual cycle of the woman are not permissible.<\/p>\n

In the Scriptures, the book of Leviticus chapter 18 are listed all sexual perversions. Among them is the maintenance of sexual relations during the menstrual cycle and it is written:<\/p>\n

\n

Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness during her menstrual impurity<\/strong>. (Leviticus 18:19)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And to understand how serious this is, it is good to quote the following law, that was given by God to Israel:<\/p>\n

\n

If there is a man who lies with a menstruous woman<\/strong> and uncovers her nakedness, he has laid bare her flow,<\/strong> and she has exposed the flow of her blood<\/strong>; thus both of them shall be cut off from among their people. (Leviticus 20:18)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When he was rebuking the people for their apostasy and immorality in which they had fallen and which had caused their captivity in Babylon, the prophet Ezekiel writes:<\/p>\n

In you they have uncovered their fathers\u2019 nakedness; in you they have humbled<\/strong> her who was unclean in her menstrual impurity.<\/strong> (Ezekiel 22:10)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Let us heed these words and any child of God shall not this forbidden practice by God, which is an abomination to Him. Let us seek and pursue holiness because:<\/p>\n

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you<\/sup>abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
