How does the<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>Bible prove that\u00a0Jesus Christ, the Son of God is God?<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is a central teaching of the Bible and there is a very high number of arguments.\u00a0I will limit to a few of them and mostly, I will stop at the first 18 verses of the Gospel of John.In these verses, Jesus Christ is called the \u201cWord\u201d and is presented in this way.<\/p>\n

God <\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.<\/strong><\/span> (John 1:1)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This verse shows that Jesus is God and is one with God.Also, this verse indicates another quality that only God has and this is\u00a0\u2026<\/p>\n

Eternal <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The second verse of this chapter repeats and emphasizes the truth from\u00a0the first verse when\u00a0it says:<\/p>\n

He was in the beginning with God.<\/span> (John 1:2)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Biblical text says that the Word \u201cwas in the beginning\u201d and that it didn\u2019t appear later\u00a0or in the process.The first book of the Bible begins with the words \u201cin the beginning\u201d and it says:<\/p>\n

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.<\/span> (Genesis 1:1)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, Jesus Christ was, because He is eternal, as God is eternal.<\/p>\n

The following divine quality of the Lord Jesus presented in the Gospel of John is \u2026<\/p>\n

The Creator <\/strong><\/h2>\n

All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.<\/span> (John 1:3)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God the Father created the world through His Son Jesus Christ.Through Him all things were made and there is no exception.<\/p>\n

The Author and source of life <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Gospel of John writes further:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<sup class=”xref” value=”‘(F<\/a>)\u2019>In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.\u00a0The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.\u00a0(John 1:4-5)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There was a time when some so-called scientists tried to convince the mankind that the origin of life\u00a0was in proteins and that the day when people would be able to obtain\u00a0proteins artificially, they would be able to create living souls.Well, they have succeeded to obtain\u00a0artificial proteins, but it is different with life,\u00a0because life is Jesus Christ alone and He alone gives life.<\/p>\n

The Son of God in\u00a0human flesh <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The same chapter one of the Gospel of John it is written:<\/p>\n

And the Word (Jesus Christ)<\/em> became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. <\/span>(John 1:14)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And if anyone tries to argue that the word \u201cWord\u201d in these first 18 verses of the Gospel of John does not refer to Jesus, let him take note at the conclusion\u00a0at the end of this biblical paragraph that says:<\/p>\n

John testified about Him and cried out, saying, \u201cThis was He of whom I said, \u2018He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.\u2019\u201d\u00a0For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.\u00a0For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.\u00a0No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. (John 1:15-18)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Other biblical texts where Jesus is called God <\/strong><\/h2>\n

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,\u00a0instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,\u00a0looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,<\/strong>\u00a0who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.\u00a0(Titus 2:11-14)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ This is the true God<\/strong> and eternal life.<\/span> (1 John 5:20)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
