This is the question that was recently addressed to me.<\/span> It is true that in this century of technology everything is changing very quickly, but the Word of God remains the same and His truths are eternal.<\/span> <\/p>\n Choose what is right and true<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n King David, inspired by the Holy Spirit\u00a0asked himself the same question and received the answer:<\/span> <\/p>\n How can a young man keep his way pure?\u00a0By keeping it according to Your word.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Psalm 119:9)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Word of God is the one that can guide us in this difficult world full of temptation in which we live.<\/span> Psalm 119 is the longest psalm in the Bible and\u00a0King David dedicated it to God\u2019s Word. <\/span>This Psalm contains important lessons for those who want to live a\u00a0pure life in this\u00a0ruined and perverted century.<\/span> <\/p>\n Choose to study\u00a0the Scriptures deeply<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n David said about himself:<\/span> <\/p>\n Your word I have treasured in my heart,\u00a0that I may not sin against You.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Psalms 119:11)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Accustom yourself to a discipline\u00a0to study the Bible and not just to read it.<\/span> <\/p>\n These days I talked to a young man who, being asked how he studied the Scriptures, told me that he daily read\u00a02 chapters of the Old Testament, 2 from the Proverbs of Solomon and 2\u00a0of the New Testament, but, he himself mentioned that he did not do it\u00a0every day. <\/span>Then,\u00a0talking to him I understood that he had recently married an unbelieving\u00a0girl\u00a0and said that \u201cthe Holy Spirit told him this\u201d.<\/span> How could he say\u00a0that?<\/span> How can the Holy Spirit, by whom\u00a0the Bible was written, tell\u00a0him something that is totally contrary to the Bible?<\/span> Because they do not study the Scriptures, people\u00a0commit sins and serious mistakes and they continue to think that\u00a0they are pleasing God and do His will.<\/span> To not be in their category, choose to study the Scriptures deeply and I strongly recommend you to\u00a0get the\u00a0inductive Bible study materials \u201cPrecept upon Precept\u201d, that will help you enormously.<\/span> <\/p>\n Keep your\u00a0priorities in a right\u00a0order<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n In the same Psalm 119 King David prays as follows:<\/span> <\/p>\n Incline my heart to Your testimonies\u00a0and not to dishonest gain.\u00a0Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity,\u00a0and revive me in Your ways. <\/span><\/span>(Psalm 119:36-37)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Dishonest gain and vanity\u00a0make many young people leave the\u00a0purity of walking with God.<\/span> Moreover, the Apostle Paul wrote:<\/span> <\/p>\n For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.<\/span><\/span> (1 Timothy 6:10)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Choose your\u00a0friends<\/span> well<\/strong><\/p>\n The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, who\u00a0was a young man too:<\/span> <\/p>\n Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.<\/span><\/span> (2 Timothy 2:22)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Who are your friends?<\/span> What interests and priorities do they have?<\/span> What do they invest\u00a0their lives in?<\/span> How do they\u00a0influence you?<\/span> Make an analysis and see which are the things that can be danger for you and what do you have to do\u00a0to\u00a0remain pure in this century.<\/span> <\/p>\n Translated by Felicia Rotaru<\/em><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This is the question that was recently addressed to me.
