\n

But how shall we treat the Islamists?<\/em><\/span> Shall we\u00a0beat them?<\/em><\/span> Shall we stab them?<\/em><\/span> What shall we do\u00a0to<\/em> other religions?<\/em><\/span> What to do if\u00a0their religions draw us?<\/em><\/span> If they\u00a0attract those close to us in their trap?<\/em><\/span> Do they deserve to ne swept away by\u00a0tsunami waves?<\/em><\/span> What about\u00a0t<\/em>sunami\u00a0from 2005 were they sent by God as punishment for those who\u00a0did not believe in Him?<\/em><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Here\u2019s how\u00a0the Gospel teaches us to treat people of other religions\u2026<\/span> <\/p>\n

\nTo be at\u00a0peace with all men<\/span> <\/h4>\n
\n

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.<\/span><\/span> (Romans 12:18)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nTo be living epistles for all people<\/span> <\/h4>\n

When he wrote the Christians\u00a0from the city of Corinth, the Apostle Paul said:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men.<\/span><\/span> (2 Corinthians 3:2)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Our behavior, as\u00a0Christians, must be such as to send\u00a0the message of love of God\u2019s truth.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\nTo pray for the salvation of all men<\/span> <\/h4>\n
\n

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,\u00a0for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.\u00a0This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,\u00a0who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(1 Timothy 2:1-4)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nTo be full of gentleness to all people<\/span> <\/h4>\n

When he was teaching Titus\u00a0how to advise Christians on the island of Crete, the Apostle Paul wrote:<\/span> <\/p>\n

Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,\u00a0to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.\u00a0For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Titus 3:1-3)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To honor all people<\/span><\/h4>\n

Regardless of the religion of those who are around us, God tells us:<\/span> <\/p>\n

Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(1 Peter 2:17)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nWere\u00a0those from\u00a0Sumatra\u00a0the most sinful?<\/span> <\/h4>\n

It is known that many Europeans and tourists from around the world went to Sumatra just for sex tourism that was flourishing there.<\/span> Then, Christians were persecuted beyond limit there\u00a0and even then, before that Christmas evening\u00a0when tragedy would have happened, many Christians were forced to leave the town and go to the mountains because they were not tolerated by the representatives of the majority religion\u00a0and were forbidden to celebrate Christmas in the city.<\/span> Yes, it is true that\u00a0tsunami waves were a punishment for the sins of those who were on the island of Sumatra.<\/span>\u00a0But, I want to make reference to this case from the Gospel:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.\u00a0And Jesus said to them, \u201cDo you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate?\u00a0I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.\u00a0Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem?\u00a0I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.<\/strong>\u201d <\/span><\/span>(Luke 13:1-5)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
