Question:<\/span> <\/p>\n

I was proposed marriage\u00a0by a man whom\u00a0I know more than a year.<\/em><\/span> Since the beginning of our friendship we\u00a0laid\u00a0the foundation on the Lord.<\/em><\/span>\u00a0Now I noticed some things about him that make me think more\u00a0before I\u00a0give consent.<\/em><\/span> He works very\u00a0much and hard and because of this we rarely see each other.<\/em><\/span>\u00a0He makes money, but\u00a0he gives it to all those who ask, grandparents, cousins, brothers, sisters, parents, friends and acquaintances.<\/em><\/span> And I do not disagree, but frankly I think there should be a measure so that he may also have\u00a0something to start our family life. <\/em><\/span>Currently he has nothing of his own.<\/em><\/span> If he keeps on with this, I am\u00a0worried that we will not have a place\u00a0where to stay after our wedding.<\/em><\/span> Maybe you have a Bible study from which to learn how to manage money so that we can help others but to have for\u00a0us, too.<\/em><\/span> What does the Bible say in this regard?<\/em><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The fact that this man has such a heart ready to help and to sacrifice for others is a rarity nowadays.<\/span> Precisely because he feels with others, he is always ready to help and does it.<\/span> But, you\u2019re right, there must be a measure\u00a0and a wise way of managing money so that some may not suffer while\u00a0helping others.<\/span> So, let\u2019s see according to\u00a0the\u00a0priorities whom, how much\u00a0and when to give the money we earn.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n1.<\/span> <\/span>Tithing to the Church<\/span> <\/h4>\n

God wants us to be in a relationship of worship and gratitude to Him and He left a clear commandment in the Bible that says to bring before Him 10% of all income and this when it\u00a0will be difficult financially and when it will be good.<\/span> The money that\u00a0is brought by Christians at church will be used to spread the Gospel, if it is\u00a0not\u00a0of a\u00a0dirty gain.<\/a><\/span> <\/p>\n

\n2.<\/span> H<\/span>im that teaches you the Word of God<\/span> <\/h4>\n

In the Bible we learn to take care of those who teach us the Word of God as saying:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him<\/span><\/span> (Galatians 6:6)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n3.<\/span> <\/span>Those\u00a0from your house and then relatives<\/span> <\/h4>\n

The Apostle Paul wrote:<\/span> <\/p>\n

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household,<\/strong> he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In this verse God teaches us to take care of our household, or our relatives, those who are close to us, but the priority (especially)\u00a0those who live together with us, for a man that means the wife and the children. <\/span>He\u00a0must take care\u00a0of them first and fulfill their needs, but to not disregard the\u00a0needs of others and seek to help them.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n4.<\/span> <\/span>Brothers\u00a0of faith and all people<\/span> <\/h4>\n

God\u2019s Word also says:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

So then, while we have opportunity<\/strong>, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/span> (Galatians 6:10)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

After bringing our tithes before God, after we share our goods with those who teach\u00a0us from His Word, after we meet the needs of our household and help\u00a0our relatives, if we have opportunity, that means if we have the financial possibility to help others, especially our brothers\u00a0of faith, they have priority.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\nDo not be manipulated<\/span> <\/h4>\n

I do not think that\u00a0it refers to\u00a0the case of this\u00a0man, but I know many men and women who\u00a0consider themselves good because they give all and never refuse, but for me they are naive and allow being manipulated\u00a0by those who live unruly life, but who know to extort money from others.<\/span> Do not be naive and do not give money to those doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies.\u00a0Through the money you give them you\u00a0just encourage them to continue in this bad attitude that they\u00a0have.<\/span><\/p>\n
