Question:<\/span> <\/p>\n What do you think about Christian chat and\u00a0about the fact that many young Christians choose this model of interaction (the Internet) to make friends, to date and\u00a0even to marry?<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Internet is a technology that was created\u00a0exactly for communication.<\/span> We, Christians, have to communicate to mankind the most important message \u2013 the way of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus and chat\u00a0gives\u00a0us\u00a0this opportunity as well.<\/span> It is also true that\u00a0I heard\u00a0too little evidence of young Christians who would share the\u00a0Gospel by chatting and win souls for the kingdom of heaven.<\/span>\u00a0But, there are certainly\u00a0such young Christians, too.<\/span> <\/p>\n Another positive aspect of the Internet is that it allows to initiate communication with people from different parts of the world like it was not possible another time.<\/span> Meaning the\u00a0countries of\u00a0the world where preaching the Gospel is prohibited and that today young people\u00a0know several languages including English, they\u00a0could use chat to communicate the Gospel message to the people of the\u00a0oppressed countries.<\/span> <\/p>\n But, unfortunately, the number of young Christians who are beginning to use chat in the desire to marry is much\u00a0greater than of those who preach the Gospel and this brings certain dangers.<\/span> <\/p>\n By\u00a0chatting and other means of communication\u00a0found on\u00a0the Internet, young people manage to hide their real identity and present themselves differently than they are.<\/span> So, it may be the case when a married and divorced man, or one with an experience to seduce, to\u00a0introduce himself completely different as he\u00a0is in reality.<\/span> In this way, he wins and excites the girl\u2019s heart.<\/span> When she finds out how things are in reality, she\u00a0either\u00a0would be very hurt and frustrated, or would accept to stay in this relationship that began with a lie, because she can not give up and her heart\u00a0is already caught in a trap.<\/span> That is why, in my opinion, the beginning of\u00a0dating relationship by chatting or Internet presents\u00a0great dangers.<\/span> <\/p>\n But I also know\u00a0Christian couples who became\u00a0acquainted\u00a0by chatting\u00a0firstly, then, the boy had a long trip\u00a0to meet and talk with that girl.<\/span> When they\u00a0met, they\u00a0liked each other more and then got married.<\/span> Now\u00a0they are happy and fulfilled in their marriage.<\/span> The part that\u00a0seems they have made\u00a0wisely is that they did not start saying words of love by chatting and thus, to set\u00a0the fire in their\u00a0hearts, but the boy chose to come\u00a0from the U.S. to Romania to see this girl, talk to her and only then they decided to marry.<\/span> <\/p>\n The fact that\u00a0one can be\u00a0anonymous or hide his\u00a0identity on chat, leads some to be naughty and initiate discussions\u00a0on erotic subject.<\/span> If it were in reality,\u00a0a girl or a boy who at least is ashamed of the people who are around her or him, would stop such a discussion and would go aside.<\/span> But since the discussion started by chatting someone could be detained in such dangerous discussions\u00a0and be trapped in erotic chat that will set fire on\u00a0the lust of the flesh and will lead him to worse and more serious things. <\/span>The Word of God says clearly:<\/span> <\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality;\u00a0that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,\u00a0not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
