I want to know your opinion, and not only, about a very current problem\u00a0all of us are facing, including Christians.<\/em><\/span> This is the scourge of corruption, widespread\u00a0in all life areas. <\/em><\/span>This time I would only limit to the relationship between doctors and patients.<\/em><\/span> It\u2019s easy to say that you are not allowed to give a bribe if you\u2019re Christian and you are healthy, but when you get into the hands of the doctor who just has to perform an operation upon\u00a0your heart or brain, when your wife is giving birth and has complications, you know from\u00a0reliable sources that you\u00a0have to \u201cpay contributions\u201d because otherwise you\u2019re not\u00a0treated how you should be, what\u00a0option to choose?<\/em><\/span> You do\u00a0not give bribe and risk a catastrophe, or you borrow money and give bribe, but do you break the law?<\/em><\/span> A<\/em> Christian must respect the law.<\/em><\/span>\u00a0How\u00a0would<\/em>\u00a0you\u00a0act?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Previously I wrote the article What is bribery?<\/a>, in which I presented that this,\u00a0according to the Bible is a gift that is given to\u00a0pervert justice or righteous judgments of people who are responsible for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Save the life<\/strong><\/p>\n

When someone is taken prisoner by pirates or terrorists, you\u00a0do not even think\u00a0that we could not give the compensation under the pretext that it is unrighteousness\u00a0or bribe.<\/span> I met a young man whose uncle was kidnapped by terrorists and demanded a large sum of money to be brought within 24 hours to spare his uncle\u2019s life.<\/span> This young man\u00a0made great efforts and found the required money, more than\u00a0this, he went to the\u00a0terrorists camp to give that money and to save his uncle from death.<\/span> It is the same\u00a0when the life of your friends or\u00a0even yours depend on the doctor\u2019s intervention.<\/span>\u00a0You must save\u00a0the life and the doctor working with injustice will bear the consequences.<\/span> I presented a case in this regard in the\u00a0article What is bribery?<\/a> Do not give money to pervert\u00a0right decisions, to do evil, but\u00a0give everything you have to save people\u2019s lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two more verses\u00a0from the\u00a0Scripture<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, I would like to quote two verses from the Bible:<\/span><\/p>\n

A man\u2019s gift makes room for him\u00a0and brings him before great men.<\/span><\/span> (Proverbs 18:16)(NASB)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A gift in secret subdues anger,\u00a0and a bribe in the bosom, strong wrath.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Proverbs 21:14)(NASB)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It seems that through\u00a0these verses we are encouraged to\u00a0give gifts if they open the entrance before\u00a0great men and if they\u00a0subdue anger.<\/span><\/p>\n

How would I act?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The author asks me how I would act\u00a0if the life of the one I love were in danger\u00a0and the doctor asked bribe to perform the operation or any other treatment.<\/span> I am happy to say that this has never happened to me\u00a0and the doctors I asked for help when I needed for myself and for the loved ones behaved\u00a0very well with us and I always looked with great pleasure to express my gratitude, according to my possibilities.<\/span>\u00a0But, if it were such a case when the doctor asked\u00a0me\u00a0for\u00a0money to give the\u00a0treatment, I would pay if I had the money, and if I did not\u00a0have, I would make every effort to find\u00a0to borrow it and\u00a0I would\u00a0pay only to save the life and the\u00a0health of the loved one.<\/span><\/p>\n
