It is normal for the girl to pray for marriage to a specific person?<\/i>\u00a0Many guys make overtures to me\u00a0and I am\u00a0tired\u00a0when I see someone that\u00a0pays much\u00a0attention to me, having sinful intentions, it irritates me and\u00a0I would like very much\u00a0to marry.<\/em>\u00a0But when you are in this situation, it\u00a0is also very difficult\u00a0to pray for someone whom you do not\u00a0know.<\/i> These days I met a person who has the qualities that\u00a0I ask from\u00a0God for my future husband.<\/i>\u00a0And then\u00a0appeared the question whether I can\u00a0pray to God for him?<\/i>\u00a0Will it be\u00a0right in\u00a0God\u2019s eyes?<\/i>\u00a0I did not fall in\u00a0love but I feel a desire to know him more.<\/i> All I know about him is that we have common hobbies, but most importantly, he loves children and the mission and is romantic as I\u00a0always prayed for my future husband.<\/em> He is a student in another country and I do not know why,\u00a0the\u00a0Lord had put that desire into my heart to\u00a0go to college\u00a0in the city where he learns, even\u00a0before I\u00a0met him.<\/em>\u00a0I do not know what to do.<\/i> How can I know what God will is in this situation.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"IsWhy do you want to marry?<\/h2>\n

Neither tiredness of\u00a0the guys\u2019 advances\u00a0not irritation at\u00a0those who pay\u00a0attention to you\u00a0with\u00a0sinful reasons are reasons to marry.\u00a0If you get married only for these reasons,\u00a0you have chances to become the most unhappy woman because of your marriage.<\/p>\n

Pray according to God\u2019s Word<\/h2>\n

God\u00a0listens to\u00a0our prayers when they are according to His will.\u00a0When He was talking about the fruits that we can bring as\u00a0children of God, the Lord Jesus said:<\/p>\n

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.<\/span> (John 15:7)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What is God\u2019s will for virgins?<\/h2>\n

In the first Epistle of Paul to\u00a0Corinthians, God says this:<\/p>\n

Now concerning virgins I have no command of the Lord, but I give an opinion as one who by the mercy of the Lord is trustworthy.\u00a0I think then that this is good in view of the present distress, that it is good for a man to remain as he is<\/strong>.\u00a0Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Are you released from a wife? Do not seek a wife.\u00a0But if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has<\/strong> not sinned.<\/strong> Yet such will have trouble in this life, and I am trying to spare you.\u00a0But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;\u00a0and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess;\u00a0and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.\u00a0But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord;\u00a0but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife,\u00a0and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit<\/strong>; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.\u00a0This I say for your own benefit; not to put a restraint upon you, but to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord<\/strong>.\u00a0But if any man thinks that he is acting unbecomingly toward his virgin daughter, if she is past her youth, and if it must be so, let him do what he wishes, he does not sin; let her marry.\u00a0But he who stands firm in his heart, being under no constraint, but has authority over his own will, and has decided this in his own heart, to keep his own virgin daughter, he will do well.\u00a0So then both he who gives his own virgin daughter in marriage does well, and he who does not give her in marriage will do better. I deliberately emphasized\u00a0the important truths in this biblical passage that I wish to address further.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to stay as you are<\/h2>\n

That is unmarried.\u00a0This does not mean that you will never marry, or that God is against marriage.\u00a0He is the author of marriage and\u00a0the one who\u00a0created the first woman and brought her to her husband when he was not even aware that\u00a0he needed\u00a0her and never knew what marriage is.So now,\u00a0God is the one who gives\u00a0man and woman love for each other and joins them in marriage.\u00a0He will\u00a0pour love for you into the\u00a0heart of a man who will propose you and you will\u00a0accept him because you love him. See not to\u00a0hurry through your actions and thoughts and in this way to\u00a0have\u00a0worries and sufferings that you should not have. It is better now to stay as you are and put your full faith in God who said:<\/p>\n

The hope of the righteous is gladness<\/strong>,\u00a0but the expectation of the wicked perishes.<\/span> (Proverbs 10:28)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Don\u2019t worry and do not create barriers<\/h2>\n

God does not forbid you to pray for your future spouse, but the fact that you\u00a0want to pray specifically for a boy who has not yet asked\u00a0you to marry him, shows that you already have begun to think more about him and that thought has become a care that\u00a0you should not have. Allow the Lord to take care of this need of yours and to fulfill it, and you care about the\u00a0things of God to be holy in body and in spirit, as described in the biblical text of 1 Corinthians 7.Do not let\u00a0these thoughts for marriage start to\u00a0obsess you and become a barrier that will steal your passion and dedication that you have in the service of God.<\/p>\n

Accept God\u2019s will<\/h2>\n

There are things that we want so much and we can\u00a0start to\u00a0pray continually for them just because we\u00a0want them so much.\u00a0But is this\u00a0not\u00a0a non-acceptance of God\u2019s will for us? Be sure not to\u00a0try in this way to\u00a0put pressure on God to do what\u00a0you want. Even if it does not\u00a0relate to the subject of marriage, the verse I refer shows well\u00a0the truth I want to communicate to you.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0he writes about the discoveries he has received from God, the Apostle Paul says:<\/p>\n

Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me\u2013to keep me from exalting myself!\u00a0Concerning this I implored the Lord three times<\/strong> that it might leave me.\u00a0And He has said to me, \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness \u201d Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.\u00a0<\/span>(2 Corinthians 12:7-9)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You see,\u00a0apostle Paul says he asked the Lord three times to take this thorn, but when God told him clearly what his will\u00a0is, he accepted it with joy and didn\u2019t\u00a0insist anymore\u00a0in prayers.<\/p>\n

I understand that you have already prayed for this boy. Now, you\u00a0have also seen what is God\u2019s will for you, not to worry\u00a0regarding your\u00a0marriage, but to take care to be holy\u00a0in body and\u00a0spirit. Accept this will and be glad in the\u00a0grace of God that is sufficient\u00a0for us all.\u00a0Glorified be His name.<\/p>\n
