I am in a serious relationship\u00a0with a girl for some time.<\/i>\u00a0Meanwhile, I entered the\u00a0covenant with Jesus Christ (I have been saved)<\/i>.<\/i><\/span> My church recommends\u00a0me to look for\u00a0another\u00a0relationship, with a Christian girl.<\/em> My girlfriend is also interested in the holy things,\u00a0but her parents\u00a0categorically prohibit her any relationship with those who have repented.<\/i> In this case, how shall I do\u00a0God\u2019s will? <\/i>T<\/i><\/span>o listen to the advice of my heart and to wait until\u00a0my girlfriend repents, or to listen to the recommendation of the church?<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"HowSalvation is more important than\u00a0marriage<\/h2>\n

When you say \u201cin a\u00a0relationship\u201d I realize that you\u00a0love this girl and would like to get married with her. Salvation of your souls is the highest priority and I am glad you have chosen to repent and follow the Lord Jesus with all your heart, so that you may inherit\u00a0with Him along with all the saints.<\/p>\n

In the same way, the biggest priority for\u00a0your girlfriend is to\u00a0save her soul from eternal hell\u00a0and this can be done, as you already know it, only through repentance with the whole\u00a0heart and entering the\u00a0same covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ.Tell\u00a0her how important it is to return to the Lord Jesus and follow Him with all dedication, regardless of the obstacles that her parents\u00a0put in\u00a0her way.\u00a0Remind her\u00a0the words the Lord Jesus told those who would choose to enter the\u00a0 covenant with Him:<\/p>\n

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.\u00a0You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. (Matthew 10:21-22)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And\u00a0you should also explain to your girlfriend that the prohibition of\u00a0her parents\u00a0to have relations with those who have repented\u00a0is actually the prohibition to follow\u00a0the Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0And the Holy Scripture teaches us to be \u201cobedient to our parents\u00a0in the Lord\u201d, i.e. in the boundaries of the Word of God.\u00a0And no one can listen to their parents if they forbid\u00a0them to follow Christ.<\/p>\n

Do not\u00a0be troubled with\u00a0marriage now<\/h2>\n

It is not good to think now of the marriage with\u00a0this girl, as long as she is not saved and the more you should not focus on a relationship with another girl, or more properly speaking, with no girl.In the\u00a0I Epistle to Corinthians, Apostle Paul says:<\/p>\n

Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Are you released from a wife? Do not seek a wife. <\/span>(1 Corinthians 7:27)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God will take care of\u00a0your need\u00a0to marry and He will do it\u00a0in the most beautiful way. Now, seek to share the\u00a0gospel of salvation\u00a0with your former girlfriend, with\u00a0your parents, friends, brothers, sisters and with all your people. May God\u00a0help you so.<\/p>\n
