As it was possible, I watched\u00a0closely the development of political events in our country after\u00a0the things that\u00a0happened on April 7th. <\/span>Many things have happened for the first time and it\u00a0seems that their list has not yet finished.<\/span> I was surprised when I heard that the\u00a0second elections date was set\u00a0on July 29th, which is Wednesday, and not in a day of rest, on Sunday, as it has always been since independence onwards. <\/span>As all others have done it, I also asked myself: \u201cWhy?\u201d I realized that this is another trap set\u00a0on us\u00a0and it seeks the manipulation of voters and\u00a0the\u00a0restriction of\u00a0freedoms.<\/span> <\/p>\n Now\u00a0I am\u00a0in Kiev together with\u00a0my daughter, where I was invited to teach a course\u00a0of Evangelism through sports for more than 30 athletes gathered\u00a0from Ukraine and from other countries, who came to learn how to use sports to lead people to Christ.<\/span> We chose to\u00a0travel by\u00a0bus and on\u00a0our way we had some interesting discussions with other passengers who shed\u00a0more light on\u00a0the possible purpose that was intended when\u00a0the election date was set\u00a0on July 29th.<\/span> <\/p>\n Eleonora is a student at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and she goes the U.S. through the \u201cWork and Travel\u201d program to gain something\u00a0for her studies.<\/span> When she heard that elections will be in a working day, she\u00a0realized that it would be very difficult for her to be able to ask for free time at her workplace, especially since she will need three days: one day to go up to Chicago, then\u00a0one day\u00a0to stay there to vote and another day to go back.<\/span> It\u00a0will be very\u00a0difficult<\/span> to get those three days.<\/span> But, I told her\u00a0that it was not impossible and I advised her to go in the first\u00a0days to her employer and\u00a0explain how important\u00a0it was to participate in those elections for her future, and the future of\u00a0the children and of our whole country.<\/span> <\/p>\n Mr. Nicu, another passenger, is married and together with his wife have three children. <\/span>He went to Kiev to get his visa for the Netherlands, where he goes every week to bring a car for those who buy them\u00a0to order.<\/span> Mr. Nicu was also\u00a0very concerned and\u00a0unhappy because he always leaves\u00a0on Monday and comes home\u00a0on Friday, but because the elections will be\u00a0on Wednesday, he will have to stay home that week and this will create him many difficulties. <\/span>However, Mr. Nicu decided to stay home that week to give his vote to defend freedom and democracy.<\/span> <\/p>\n After\u00a0I talked and listened to these two passengers, I asked myself: Isn\u2019t it this intention to set the election date on July 29th, as to make impossible the\u00a0participation in the elections of many fellow citizens who are at work over abroad?<\/span> <\/p>\n I grieved for the moment, but I soon remembered the Word of God that says:<\/span> <\/p>\n He who digs a pit will fall into it,\u00a0and he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him. <\/span><\/span>(Proverbs of Solomon 26:27)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n I also remembered the\u00a0beautiful way how God has answered all\u00a0our prayers so far. <\/span>After the events on April 7th, each time when it was an important session of the Parliament, especially when the President\u00a0had to\u00a0be elected, we chose to fast\u00a0with the\u00a0whole\u00a0church the day before the event and I\u00a0called\u00a0all readers of\u00a0the portal to fast\u00a0without eating and without drinking anything, just to shout at God.<\/span> Our prayer was that God does not allow deputies to vote of cowardice or because they are under pressure and intimidation.<\/span> And God has responded miraculously, as we asked.<\/span> <\/p>\n Then, even after April 7th, I fasted and I called Christians in the whole country to come together and ask God to keep us from bloodshed.<\/span> The<\/span>\u00a0Almighty has\u00a0listened to us. <\/span>It is true that it hurts us a lot for the four young people who were killed dastardly and the girls who were raped and humiliated and we pray God to give comfort to those who suffer\u00a0so far, and at the same time, we thank God that He had not allowed\u00a0conflicts\u00a0with bloodshed and gave\u00a0wisdom to the\u00a0leaders of opposition to not be provoked by anyone\u00a0and to act patiently according to the\u00a0legal framework.<\/span> <\/p>\n Given all these experiences that we have seen the strong hand of God, let us keep our faith and run to Him after deliverance and mercy.<\/span> <\/p>\n I\u00a0invite all readers of Christian Moldova portal to fast\u00a0without eating and without drinking anything every Wednesday until the Election Day \u2013
