I struggle with myself because I do not understand how to\u00a0practice the teachings of the Epistle to\u00a0Galatians 5:22-23.<\/em> The more I force myself, the more\u00a0I\u00a0act contrary to these teachings.<\/em> As a result, I do have peace, I can not enjoy and I can not\u00a0pray in peace.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What does the text say?<\/h2>\n
To understand the\u00a0subject of the\u00a0question, I quote the\u00a0biblical passage which refers to the question:<\/p>\n
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,\u00a0gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
You can not give what you do not have<\/h2>\n
To be able to manifest the fruit of the Spirit, you must have the Holy Spirit. One may not have the fruit unless he\u00a0has the Holy Spirit and the fruit can not be achieved through one\u2019s own efforts. The man receives the Holy Spirit when he repents with all his\u00a0heart and\u00a0enters the\u00a0covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance involves the crucifixion of your flesh, as it is described in the Epistle to Galatians:<\/p>\n
Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:24)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If you\u2019re not sure that the Holy Spirit lives in you, that means that He doesn\u2019t, because those who have\u00a0received Him are aware of the reality of His presence.<\/p>\n
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.\u00a0For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, \u201cAbba! Father!\u201d\u00a0The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.(Romans 8:14-16)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If, however, you have entered the covenant\u00a0with the Lord Jesus, if you are sure that you have the Holy Spirit but His fruit is not manifested in your life ..<\/p>\n

Walk led by the Holy Spirit<\/h2>\n
Since a Christian has entered the covenant\u00a0with the Lord Jesus, he receives the Holy Spirit, but he is\u00a0not set free definitively of his earthly flesh. From now on, the Holy Spirit will urge and will empower him with living\u00a0in righteousness, and the earthly\u00a0flesh seeks to corrupt him to sin, how it has done\u00a0before. It is Christian\u2019s choice who to be led by and the Holy Scripture says:<\/p>\n
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.\u00a0For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. (Galatians 5:16-17)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Stop trying to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit with\u00a0your own forces, because these\u00a0deeds can not be the fruit of a man, but of the Holy Spirit. If you have not yet received the Holy Spirit, choose to enter the\u00a0covenant with Jesus Christ today. And if you have the Holy Spirit, in order to bear His fruit, choose to\u00a0be guided by Him,\u00a0and not to fulfill the desires of the\u00a0flesh.<\/p>\n
