The penultimate of the 8 beatitudes\u00a0left by the Lord Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount says:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. <\/span><\/span>(Matthew 5:9)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It would be great\u00a0to be able to live your life without being involved in conflicts, but it is impossible.<\/span> In one way or another one, willingly and unwillingly, all of us take part in certain conflicts.<\/span>\u00a0Lord Jesus teaches us to be peacemakers, that is, to take the initiative of reconciliation. <\/span>He gave us an example, as written in the Bible:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Romans 5:8)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Thus, to us, His children, those who believe with all\u00a0our heart and keep\u00a0the new covenant, He says:<\/span> <\/p>\n

\n

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(Romans 12:18)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We,\u00a0Christians, who are at peace with God, have been entrusted by Him the ministry of reconciliation, as the same apostle Paul says:<\/span> <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.\u00a0Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,\u00a0namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.\u00a0Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.\u00a0(2 Corinthians 5:17-20)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As long as\u00a0you choose to live according to the will of your\u00a0evil impulses you can not have peace with God.<\/span> Sins put a wall of separation between us and Him. <\/span>Only when we come with\u00a0repentance from the heart, God forgives us, washes the guilt of our sins and\u00a0gives us the divine peace, about which\u00a0Lord Jesus said:<\/span> <\/p>\n

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.<\/span><\/span> (John 14:27)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
