{"id":55725,"date":"2009-11-19T10:27:54","date_gmt":"2009-11-19T08:27:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/moldovacrestina.md\/blessed-are-those-who-mourn"},"modified":"2017-05-27T08:42:32","modified_gmt":"2017-05-27T06:42:32","slug":"blessed-are-those-who-mourn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/moldovacrestina.md\/en\/blessed-are-those-who-mourn\/","title":{"rendered":"Blessed are those who mourn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3536\/3456125517_7c1b70aa15.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Feti\u0163a Afganez\u0103 pl\u00e2nge pentru soarta \u0163\u0103rii ei\" class=\"aligncenter size-full img-resp\"><\/p>\n<p><span>How can you be happy when you mourn? <\/span><span><span class=\"google-src-text\">The s<\/span>econd beatitude told by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount says:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"td_quote_box td_box_center\">\n<p><span><span class=\"google-src-text\">Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!<\/span><\/span><span> (Matthew 5:4)(NASB)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>When he heard about the serious sins in which\u00a0some Christians\u00a0from Corinth have fallen, the Apostle Paul wrote his first letter and rebuked them harshly, calling the church to take urgent attitude to those who have sinned to be thrown out.<\/span><span> This commandment of Paul has\u00a0caused much sorrow, but also more\u00a0repentance and correction.<\/span> <span>Therefore, the Apostle has written the second letter as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"td_quote_box td_box_center\">\n<p><span><span class=\"google-src-text\">For though I caused you sorrow by my letter <em>(he refers to the first letter),<\/em> I do not regret it; though I did regret it for I see that that letter caused you sorrow, though only for a while I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us.\u00a0For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.\u00a0For behold what earnestness this very thing, this godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what avenging of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter.\u00a0<\/span>(2 Corinthians 7:8-11)(NASB)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The Word of God mentions two kinds of sorrow:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>According to the will of God is\u00a0the sorrow that leads to repentance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span class=\"google-src-text\">The sorrow of the world that does not lead to repentance, even it it sorry for the\u00a0<\/span>committed sins.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>Only one who is sad according to the will of God, fully repents, renounces\u00a0the\u00a0committed sins and receives comfort from God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What do you feel when you think of the sins you have committed?<\/span>\u00a0<span>Don\u2019t you want to be sorrowful according to the\u00a0the will of God to repent and to have part of true happiness?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Translated by Felicia Rotaru<\/em><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How can you be happy when you mourn?
