With sadness in my heart I am watching the events that\u00a0have been taking place in Moldova after the April 5 elections, which\u00a0were surely cheated by the authorities. This week, it is a\u00a0fierce battle between truth and falsehood, and I am deeply grieved to see how many are\u00a0the cowards who say lies with no shame and those who are naive and credulous\u00a0are manipulated and they\u00a0believe the lies rather than the truth. In this week of Passion,\u00a0it seems that more of our people have chosen to go the way of Judas than that of\u00a0Jesus. What are you doing, brothers? Stop and fear God.\u00a0In this article I want to let you know some things about Judas Iscariot, the one\u00a0who sold the Savior, and maybe so, you will come to\u00a0your senses\u00a0and will\u00a0not\u00a0continue with\u00a0the lies you spread in newspapers, radio, television, etc. When\u00a0I listen\u00a0to\u00a0some radio, my heart aches and I wonder: how and when so many cowards\u00a0managed to raise up\u00a0in our nation. So,\u00a0I invite you to read this article to see at least\u00a0what happened to one who acted cowardly.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n From the beginning, when he\u00a0appears for the first time in the New Testament, it is written about Judas Iscariot that he \u201csold Jesus\u201d. This is name he remained with\u00a0in history.<\/p>\n Even if he\u00a0had been chosen by the Lord Jesus\u00a0with great honor to be one of the 12 apostles, he continued to live cowardly.\u00a0Here\u2019s a case\u00a0when he manifested his cowardice:<\/p>\n Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.\u00a0So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.\u00a0Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.\u00a0But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said,\u00a0\u201dWhy was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?\u201d\u00a0Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it.\u00a0<\/strong>(John 12:1-6)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n But the biggest crime committed by Judas was when he went and sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests\u00a0and said, \u201cWhat are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?\u201d And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. (Matthew 26:14-15)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Beware of the Judas\u2019 motivation<\/strong><\/p>\n What made him, after he received\u00a0the mighty\u00a0call to be\u00a0one of the 12 apostles, to\u00a0act as the last coward? The love of money about which the Bible says this:<\/p>\n For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil<\/strong>, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.\u00a0(1 Timothy 6:10)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Maybe you\u00a0are\u00a0involved in what happened last week?\u00a0Maybe the\u00a0love of money\u00a0made you be one of the instigators who\u00a0manipulated the crowd and ravaged the state buildings? Maybe the love of money makes you give interviews to the radio and television\u00a0now and with impudence you\u00a0continue to tell lies after lies? Maybe the love of money made you be an accomplice in the serious frauds that were committed at the April 5 elections?\u00a0So many frauds can only be achieved with a proportional number of\u00a0cowards and scoundrels\u2026 Maybe you were\u00a0or\u00a0you are one of them?<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Judas,\u00a0in his\u00a0wickedness and\u00a0recreancy\u00a0committed a very bad evil and, coming back from the agony of his\u00a0foolishness and recreancy, he started to realize the seriousness of the committed acts.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,\u00a0saying, \u201cI have sinned by betraying innocent blood.\u201d But they said, \u201cWhat is that to us? See to that yourself!\u201d\u00a0And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. (Matthew 27:3-5)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n It seems that Judas\u00a0did not expect that his infamous betrayal would lead to\u00a0Jesus\u2019 condemnation to death.When he saw what he\u00a0had done, he felt remorse, but could not change anything.\u00a0It seems that the same is now, when some rushed\u00a0in political games, without realizing how\u00a0big\u00a0the price would be. Don\u2019t they realize\u00a0they are guilty for the death of those two young people who died and that they\u00a0bear the guilt for the crimes to which they agreed to contribute?\u00a0The guilt of the\u00a0blood spilled in these days is on their head.\u00a0And if it is true that the arrested girls were raped, all of these\u00a0followers of Judas Iscariot will bear blame for the committed\u00a0things, because\u00a0in the eyes of God rape is as serious as murder is.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Being with the Lord Jesus Christ for three years, every day Judas had\u00a0the opportunity to repent definitively and to deny the love of money and the cowardice that enslaved his\u00a0soul.But he did not do it, he even\u00a0continued to take\u00a0money out of the common bag which he was\u00a0holding, adding to his sins every day.<\/p>\n In the evening before\u00a0His arrest, the Lord Jesus told him openly his intentions, thus giving him an opportunity to\u00a0repent, but Judas missed this chance:<\/p>\n Now when evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.\u00a0As they were eating, He said, \u201cTruly I say to you that one of you will betray Me.\u201d\u00a0Being deeply grieved, they each one began to say to Him, \u201cSurely not I, Lord?\u201d\u00a0And He answered, \u201cHe who dipped his hand with Me in the bowl is the one who will betray Me.\u00a0\u201dThe Son of Man is to go, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.\u201d\u00a0And Judas, who was betraying Him, said, \u201cSurely it is not I, Rabbi?\u201d Jesus said to him, \u201cYou have said it yourself.\u201d (Matthew 26:20-25)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n How painful it is to see now, when many frauds and crimes have been shown,\u00a0how the guilty are not seeing them and\u00a0continue to deceive a whole country in a defiant way.How they do not fear God and do not repent of their wickedness?\u00a0Do not they see that their punishment doesn\u2019t doze?<\/p>\n After the Lord Jesus\u00a0was sentenced to death, the Bible says that Judas felt remorse, but did not repent.It\u2019s a big difference between them.\u00a0He was sorry for the wickedness he made and chose to hang himself.Even then, if he came to the Lord Jesus with the whole the heart, with a sincere repentance, he\u00a0could receive forgiveness and be saved.
