What happened on the 7th<\/sup> of April has never happened before in Moldova. I haven\u2019t ever thought that the\u00a0indignation of a peaceful and quiet nation can come to the point that the crowd looked angrily and was pleased how those two buildings of the Parliament and Presidency were burning and being devastated. I had such a great pain in my heart while I was looking at what was happening. I met there, in the square some other Christians who were also concerned and did not know how to behave. Here are some things we\u00a0are indebted and waited to do in these difficult times.<\/p>\n

Inquire and do not believe the lies<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is very difficult to understand now who is guilty, that\u2019s why, be very attentive and don\u2019t believe the lies that are spread. Inquire and judge well before you make any conclusion. I watched very attentively the reportages of JurnalTV that presented the negotiations between the leaders of opposition and the President Voronin, the representatives of communist government, then I\u00a0looked at the press conference where Serafim Urecheanu, Marian Lupu, Dorin Chirtoaca and Vlad\u00a0Filat participated. The leaders of opposition didn\u2019t have access to\u00a0radio and TV, and the government spread rumors that they organized those actions of protest.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t follow the\u00a0crowd to do evil<\/strong><\/p>\n

The crowd spirit is very dangerous and it affects one badly, making him ready to commit any crime. Those who devastated the buildings of Presidency and Parliament have no excuse, because there was no one to reply to what they asserted. God wrote a commandment in the Holy Scripture that says:<\/p>\n

\n

You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.\u00a0You shall not follow the masses in doing evil<\/strong>, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice. (Exodus 23:1\u20132)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Continue to pray<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the power of Christians, that is not known by others, but which we have experienced and experience day by day. Some of those who protest began to make the necessary change in the country without thinking or appealing to God, who said:<\/p>\n

\n

Unless the LORD builds the house,\u00a0they labor in vain who build it;\u00a0unless the LORD guards the city,\u00a0the watchman keeps awake in vain.\u00a0It is vain for you to rise up early,\u00a0to retire late,\u00a0to eat the bread of painful labors;\u00a0for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep. (Psalm 127:1\u20132)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If we do not come to God to ask for help and victory, if we act as a nation without caring about His will, we may realize that we have established a greater evil after these events, such as dictatorship. That\u2019s why, let us pray and have a spirit of prayer for the country. Let us pray that God may thwart the plans of the evil, because the silence of the government is too suspicious while those two buildings were devastated. Tell all your friends, come and pray with your families, neighbors, with the whole church, because many will go to the square, I urge them to create small groups and to pray among people for them and to invite them to pray with you.<\/p>\n

Realize the real cause of misfortune<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is true that there are many reasons that led to this disaster we live today, but our sins, of the whole nation, are the main cause, as God says in the Holy Scripture:<\/p>\n

\n

But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart;\u00a0they have turned aside and departed.\u00a0They do not say in their heart,\u00a0\u201dLet us now fear the LORD our God,\u00a0who gives rain in its season,\u00a0both the autumn rain and the spring rain,\u00a0who keeps for us\u00a0the appointed weeks of the harvest.\u201d\u00a0Your iniquities have turned these away,\u00a0and your sins have withheld good from you.<\/strong> For wicked men are found among My people,\u00a0they watch like fowlers lying in wait;\u00a0they set a trap,\u00a0they catch men.\u00a0Like a cage full of birds,\u00a0so their houses are full of deceit;\u00a0therefore they have become great and rich.\u00a0They are fat, they are sleek,\u00a0they also excel in deeds of wickedness<\/strong>;\u00a0they do not plead the cause,\u00a0the cause of the orphan, that they may prosper;\u00a0and they do not defend the rights of the poor.\u00a0Shall I not punish these people?\u2019 declares the LORD,\u00a0\u2019On a nation such as this\u00a0shall I not avenge Myself?\u2019 (Jeremiah 5:23\u201329)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Tell others to know that the main cause of the misfortunes we pass through are our sins as a nation.<\/p>\n

Call people to repent<\/strong><\/p>\n

When\u00a0his country was passing through a very great trial because of the sins of the people, the prophet Jeremiah prayed for his nation so:<\/p>\n

\n

Elders are gone from the gate,\u00a0young men from their music.\u00a0The joy of our hearts has ceased;\u00a0our dancing has been turned into mourning.\u00a0The crown has fallen from our head;\u00a0woe to us, for we have sinned!\u00a0Because of this our heart is faint,\u00a0because of these things our eyes are dim;\u00a0because of Mount Zion which lies desolate,\u00a0foxes prowl in it.\u00a0You, O LORD, rule forever;\u00a0your throne is from generation to generation.\u00a0Why do You forget us forever?\u00a0Why do You forsake us so long?\u00a0Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored;\u00a0renew our days as of old,\u00a0unless You have utterly rejected us\u00a0and are exceedingly angry with us. (Lamentations 5:14\u201322)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Let us follow the example of Jeremiah to call all our nation to repentance and to pray for the repentance of our nation. God help us this!<\/p>\n
