I want to address some questions regarding dreams. Dreams do not leave people indifferent<\/h2>\n
This is a fact proven again by the\u00a0message that I received. People become alarmed by what\u00a0they dream and they want to know what they dreams mean. Thus, appeared dictionaries of dreams, printed books and online publications, forums where people try to interpret dreams. The fact is that dreams do not let anybody indifferent. The Bible relates us\u00a0in the second chapter\u00a0of the book of prophet Daniel, that the emperor of Babylon, Nebucadnezar dreamt\u00a0a dream\u00a0one night, he forgot it but\u00a0woke up very disturbed and asked all the wise men to tell him the dream\u00a0and\u00a0the interpretation.\u00a0Since they were not able to do this, he was ready to kill them all to one.\u00a0The Lord had pity on\u00a0them and he discovered the king\u2019s dream and interpretation through\u00a0the prophet\u00a0Daniel.\u00a0For more details read the book Daniel, where the word \u201cdream\u201d is a key one.<\/p>\n
Much effort\u00a0produces dreams<\/h2>\n
God said so through the wise Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastes (ecclesiastes means preacher):<\/p>\n
Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.\u00a0For the dream comes through much effort<\/strong> and the voice of a fool through many words. (Ecclesiastes 5:2\u20133)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\nConsidering that our daily worries give\u00a0birth to dreams, let us not hurry to look for their interpretation always.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nMost dreams do not make sense<\/h2>\n
Here\u2019s what God said through the wise Solomon:<\/p>\n
For in many dreams<\/strong> and in many words there is emptiness<\/strong>. Rather, fear God. (Ecclesiastes 5:7)(NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\nDo not look to find an interpretation,\u00a0a warning or I don\u2019t know what in every dream.<\/p>\n

In the book of the prophet <\/span>Isaiah\u00a0it is written:<\/p>\nIt will be as when a hungry man dreams<\/strong>-\u2013\u00a0and behold, he is eating;\u00a0but when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied,\u00a0or as when a thirsty man dreams<\/strong>-\u2013 and behold, he is drinking,\u00a0but when he awakens, behold, he is faint\u00a0and his thirst is not quenched.\u00a0Thus the multitude of all the nations will be\u00a0who wage war against Mount Zion. When I was at school,\u00a0the chemistry teacher told us that Mendeleev had found his famous table in a dream, but after many and long researches and searching of\u00a0a regularity to systematize the chemical elements.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nGod warns us in the dream<\/h2>\n
In the Gospel of Matthew is written that the angel of God warned\u00a0Joseph, the husband of Mary, mother of Jesus, concerning more things and more times.When he\u00a0found that Mary was pregnant and thought to leave her secretly\u00a0to\u00a0put her to shame, the angel spoke to him\u00a0in the dream and said that the child, who\u00a0was the Lord Jesus, was conceived by the Holy Spirit.Then the angel said to Joseph to flee to Egypt, then to return from Egypt.\u00a0The angel spoke to the three wise men, after\u00a0they had visited the baby to come back another way and not go on to Herod.\u00a0And the night before\u00a0Lord Jesus was brought to Pilate\u2019s court, God warned\u00a0his wife, because the Bible says this:<\/p>\n
While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message, saying, \u201cHave nothing to do with that righteous Man; for last night I suffered greatly in a dream because of Him.\u201d (Matthew 27:19)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I know people who\u00a0have been warned or informed by God in dream\u00a0for certain things, regarding their salvation. Thus, once\u00a0I had a group of students from an Arabian country, who told me how all of their village, where only Muslims lived, dreamt the same\u00a0dream that night, namely, an angel spoke to them and said to call a man from the neighboring village, who would tell them an important news, and they would have to do what they would be told.That certain man\u00a0was a Christian who came and told them the Gospel.So they all believed in the Lord Jesus and\u00a0received the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nGod can give\u00a0vision and direction to His people in the dream<\/h2>\n
Here is a case in this regard, related in the book of Acts\u00a0about apostle Paul:<\/p>\n

They passed through the Phrygian and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia;\u00a0and after they came to Mysia, they were trying to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them;\u00a0and passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.\u00a0A vision<\/strong> appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, \u201cCome over to Macedonia and help us.\u201d\u00a0When he had seen the vision<\/strong>, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. The Bible abounds with cases when God discovered His will to prophets through dreams.When Mary and Aaron spoke against Moses and claimed that God speaks to them to the same extent, they were called by God to the door of the tent meeting and \u2026<\/p>\n

Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tent, and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward,\u00a0He said,\u00a0\u201dHear now My words:\u00a0If there is a prophet among you,\u00a0I, the LORD, shall make Myself known to him in a vision\u00a0I shall speak with him in a dream<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201dNot so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household;\u00a0With him I speak mouth to mouth,\u00a0even openly, and not in dark sayings,\u00a0and he beholds the form of the LORD.\u00a0Why then were you not afraid\u00a0to speak against My servant, against Moses?\u201d (Numbers 12:5-8)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\nAt the same time \u2026<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nDreams are the \u201cargument\u201d of the false prophets<\/h2>\n
Because dreams can not be verified by other people, some who claim to be prophets use dreams as \u201cargument\u201d of their own that God speaks or has spoken to them, when, in fact, He has not spoken.Here\u2019s what God said through the prophet Jeremiah about such prophets:<\/p>\n

I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, \u2018I had a dream, I had a dream!\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cHow long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even these prophets of the deception of their own heart,\u00a0who intend to make My people forget My name by their dreams<\/strong> which they relate to one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal?\u00a0The prophet who has a dream<\/strong> may relate his dream<\/strong>, but let him who has My word speak My word in truth What does straw have in common with grain?\u201d declares the LORD.\u00a0\u201cIs not My word like fire?\u201d declares the LORD, \u201cand like a hammer which shatters a rock?\u00a0 \u201cTherefore behold, I am against the prophets,\u201d declares the LORD, \u201d who steal My words from each other.\u00a0\u201dBehold, I am against the prophets,\u201d declares the LORD, \u201cwho use their tongues and declare, \u2018The Lord declares.\u2019 (Jeremiah 23:25-31)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\nTherefore \u2026<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nDo not believe dreams that come in conflict with God\u2019s Word<\/h2>\n
The Bible is God\u2019s Word, God\u2019s will\u00a0revealed to all people.\u00a0Therefore, we need to verify all our or others\u00a0dreams according to the Scriptures, as it is written:<\/p>\n
If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams<\/strong> arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder,\u00a0and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, \u2018Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,\u2019\u00a0you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams<\/strong>; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.\u00a0You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. (Deuteronomy 13:1-4)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nOnly God gives the true interpretation of dreams<\/h2>\n
The interpretation of\u00a0dreams interest people the\u00a0most\u00a0and it motivates them to write books, Internet pages, etc. It is not allowable to do such things.\u00a0The Bible says that God gave Joseph wisdom\u00a0to interpret the dreams\u00a0of two people who were in prison with him in Egypt.Everything happened just as Joseph had\u00a0said, but the one that was released from prison soon forgot about\u00a0him and did not mention something\u00a0to release Joseph. But the Lord had another plan.One night, Pharaoh, the king of Egypt\u00a0had two dreams that scared him.He called all the\u00a0wise men of Egypt and related them the dreams, but nobody could\u00a0interpret them. Then the one who was in prison\u00a0remembered and told Pharaoh about Joseph .<\/p>\n
Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph, and they hurriedly brought him out of the dungeon; and when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came to Pharaoh.\u00a0Pharaoh said to Joseph, \u201cI have had a dream, but no one can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.\u201d\u00a0Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, \u201cIt is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.\u201d<\/strong> (Genesis 41:14-16)(NASB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\nSee, that Joseph, who was a prophet,\u00a0did\u00a0not assume the interpretation of\u00a0dreams and said clearly that\u00a0he was going to tell\u00a0only what God answered.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\nWe can not\u00a0make samples (schemes) for the interpretation of dreams<\/h2>\n
People, possibly based on their observations, tried to make lists of dreamt things, and they give them\u00a0standard interpretations.\u00a0Here are some that I heard in childhood, and I was guided by them until I became a Christian: if you\u00a0dream snakes \u2013\u00a0it will be\u00a0strong wind, if you dream dogs \u2013 you will meet a bad man, if you dream someone or yourself naked –\u00a0you will get sick, if you dream someone\u00a0as bride or groom \u2013 she or he will die.\u00a0Now, think about what effect this interpretation of dreams will have on the one who believes in them and does not know the Holy Scriptures.\u00a0Do not believe such interpretations.\u00a0God has not left any list in the Holy Scriptures, but conversely, each\u00a0dream described in Holy Scriptures received a specific and individual interpretation, when God wanted to give that interpretation.\u00a0As for\u00a0Daniel, God gave Him wisdom and\u00a0\u201cDaniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams. (Daniel 1:17). But Daniel has not left lists with dreams\u00a0and interpretation that\u00a0lead us and he has not been led\u00a0by such a list, but for every dream\u00a0he had\u00a0an unique interpretation\u00a0from God, after he asked it\u00a0in prayer.<\/p>\n
