On Sunday, March 22, 2009, \u201cBunavestirea\u201d\u00a0Church in Chisinau officiated the first baptism.\u00a0There were baptized five Christians\u00a0that have\u00a0recently returned to the Lord: Barsan Doina, Barnaz Cristina, Matvienco Anastasia, Vladimir\u00a0Zolotarevschi and David Filat, our son.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\"Botezul<\/p>\n

Because the Bible says that baptism is \u201cnot the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience\u201d,\u00a0all Christians who were baptized shared\u00a0their testimony\u00a0with\u00a0over 100 participants, telling\u00a0how they had returned to\u00a0God, had been\u00a0born again and how God had changed their\u00a0life.<\/span> \u201cI am so sorry\u00a0that\u00a0I\u00a0found\u00a0out God\u2019s Word and I have dedicated my life to Christ so late\u2026\u201d, said with regret Doina Barsan.<\/span> Each of them confessed\u00a0about their\u00a0beautiful\u00a0desires for future in serving God and people.<\/span> <\/p>\n

After the testimony, I preached a message where\u00a0I presented\u00a0the teaching of the Sacred\u00a0Scripture on the mystery of baptism, and then each of those\u00a0five\u00a0Christians who have recently believed in the Savior were baptized.<\/span> <\/p>\n

\"Pastorul<\/p>\n

At the end of the church service\u00a0we\u00a0congratulated everyone who was baptized and gave them\u00a0an inductive Bible study on \u201cSpiritual gifts\u201d, that\u00a0will help them to know the\u00a0gifts they have received from\u00a0the Holy Spirit as\u00a0to effectively serve the Church.<\/span> <\/p>\n

We\u00a0also congratulated my uncle, Alexander Filat, who\u00a0came together with a group of the Church of Lapusna and who\u00a0celebrated his\u00a0birthday yesterday. <\/span>I gave him the book \u201cExpository Preaching\u201d written by Steven Olford, the\u00a0great contemporary preacher, whom I had the grace to know personally and\u00a0make an intensive homiletics course\u00a0under his leadership.<\/span> <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy this holiday with us and who,\u00a0through their various ministries, made the holiday be nice.<\/span> <\/p>\n
