Today I had the joy to\u00a0participate at\u00a0the divine service of the Baptist Church\u00a0from the village Capriana, being previously invited by Sergiu Rutcovschi and\u00a0by the pastor\u00a0Valeriu Nistor.<\/span> I took with me the Bible study books\u00a0and I\u00a0suggested Christians who came there\u00a0to study the first lesson of the course \u201cDo you want to be a disciple of Christ?<\/span> You have to pay the price!\u201d <\/span>I have\u00a0had a great pleasure to see the passion and love for God\u2019s Word\u00a0shown by all those who came\u00a0there to worship.<\/span> After studying that lesson,<\/span> we made an evaluation of the price each of us\u00a0pays as a disciple of Christ and of the way we tell others\u00a0about Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the end, deacon Vasile Nistor took the left\u00a0books to teach this course\u00a0those 30 street children\u00a0served by the whole church and the Mission of Charity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At the moment the\u00a0church come to worship in a\u00a0room of the\u00a0new\u00a0building that\u00a0is currently under construction.<\/span> Let us all pray for the progress of the building and that God may help the\u00a0Church to finish the building this coming year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the Christians who came to worship I enjoyed much to meet my friend, the artist Tudor Rotaru.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the divine service, Sergiu and Tatiana Rutcovschi\u00a0invited us to take lunch with them and we had a good Christian fellowship. <\/span>Sergiu is among the first disciples that the Lord gave me to teach His word.<\/span> Being disabled from childhood, this did <\/span>not\u00a0stop and limit Sergiu to share the Gospel with others.<\/span> I remember him since\u00a0he was a student at the College of Banking and Financial Studies and he went weekly in the village Ciobanca,\u00a0close to\u00a0Capriana, to tell people the Gospel and to teach them the Holy Scriptures.<\/span><\/p>\n

While having the lunch, Pastor\u00a0Valeriu Nistor\u00a0told me interesting things\u00a0about the history of the church\u00a0from the village Capriana.<\/span> Sava Jitari, during the First World War was taken as a prisoner and was imprisoned in Poland.<\/span> There he received the New Testament, he\u00a0read it and then he brought it with him when he returned home in Capriana.<\/span> In the village, he began to tell\u00a0his wife and others about the power of the Gospel and repentance.<\/span> Shortly after, his father in law,\u00a0Mr George Strut accepted Jesus Christ in his heart, and offered his own house as a place of worship.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 78\u2019s-80\u2019s, the church\u00a0from Capriana included over 100 members and that because people were looking for\u00a0God even\u00a0if everything was forbidden.<\/span> The monastery\u00a0was transformed into a sanatorium for people ill with tuberculosis, and churches were all closed.<\/span> Baptist Christians were always\u00a0sent to instances to pay\u00a0heavy fines because\u00a0they gathered and worshiped the Savior.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tudor Ungureanu told us a story about a Christian, who\u00a0is his relative,\u00a0and once was called to an office. <\/span>The official state tried to intimidate him and said: \u201cWhy you do <\/span>not listen to the authorities and continue to gather together?<\/span> Do you want war?<\/span> The old man replied: \u201cMy friend,\u00a0I took part in two wars, I was hurt and I supported all difficulties of the war. Can I want one more war?\u201d <\/span>Then he paid the fine and went home to go to the next church service and worship the Savior.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, the church in the village Capriana include 19 members.<\/span> Many people left for\u00a0other countries\u00a0and among them\u00a0were members of the church.<\/span> But people want and return to\u00a0Christ.<\/span> Thus, 6 men and women entered the covenant with Jesus Christ and expect to be baptized soon.<\/span> God bless the church from Capriana.<\/span><\/p>\n
