<\/span><\/p>\nEuropean Union integration is a big dream for some and\u00a0a frightful ghost for others,\u00a0because it promises to bring material prosperity, and moral decadence that will destroy the basic values of society.<\/span> In this article\u00a0I want to present this phenomenon from\u00a0my perspective, as a priest and to express my thoughts\u00a0that I\u00a0have on how we can save our Christian values in the process of European integration.<\/span> <\/p>\n Before we talk about preserving Christian values, it is necessary to give a definition of them. <\/span>It seems that people often confuse general human values with the Christian ones.<\/span> Being in the ministry of Christ I had the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel and to teach God\u2019s Word to people from different countries of the world. <\/span>I saw that lying is condemned by Buddhists, the Hindus, Muslims, etc. <\/span>So, honesty is a value that describes all these religions and they are general human, because even those who are not followers of a certain religion respect honest people, or at least\u00a0set value\u00a0on this quality. <\/span>We could continue this list of values that are characteristic\u00a0for many religions of the world and are generally human.<\/span> These values are part of the Christian faith, but they are not the essence of Christianity.<\/span> The main Christian values are defined in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.<\/span> And the foundation on which all these values are built is faith in Jesus Christ that brings\u00a0a new birth\u00a0through the proclamation of the Gospel.<\/span> So, our question is how will the value of the Holy Scriptures and the\u00a0proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ\u00a0be observed in the process of European integration?<\/span> <\/p>\n Europe lived times of spiritual awakening\u00a0until the fall of the West Roman Empire\u00a0and another spiritual awakening\u00a0at the end\u00a0of the Middle Ages, during the Reformation.<\/span> Especially towards the end of twentieth century and the beginning of XXI century churches in Europe pass through a period described by the apostle Paul so,\u00a0when he warned his disciple, Timothy:<\/span> <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.\u00a0For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,\u00a0unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,\u00a0treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,\u00a0holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The power\u00a0of godliness\u00a0is God\u2019s Word when it is studied,\u00a0believed and lived by people through the power of God.<\/span> My friends from Great Britain and\u00a0Netherlands told me\u00a0that when\u00a0they tried to\u00a0say something from the Holy Scriptures, people didn\u2019t want to hear, and this happened to\u00a0the nations that were and are claiming to be Christian.<\/span> It is not a secret that church buildings are empty during services and they come to\u00a0a level that they\u00a0are not\u00a0able\u00a0to cover the costs of maintenance.<\/span> Then, they are forced to sell these buildings that become shops, restaurants and others casinos and nightclubs.<\/span> This apostasy has been confirmed again\u00a0at the foundation of the European Union, when the Name of God was not accepted in the European Constitution, or to\u00a0recognize the role of the church and Christianity in the development of Europe.<\/span> This was an\u00a0impertinent\u00a0way to ignore and attack Christian values.<\/span> <\/p>\n Moldova is not part of the European Union, and it is not even known\u00a0when it will become, but\u00a0the export of apostasy\u00a0from Europe is ongoing.<\/span> The Homosexual Organization Gender-Doc-M is the one that at the moment attacks the Christian values and general human of our nation.<\/span> Now they do their utmost to\u00a0get a non-discrimination law that would introduce the term \u201csexual orientation\u201d so that they can then tease everybody, can imprison the priests and all those who would not accept\u00a0them when they shared their indecency.<\/span> On the official website of this organization, it is written that the site \u201cwas created with the support of the Norwegian Embassy (Bucharest), Royal Netherlands Embassy (Kiev) and the British Embassy (Chisinau). <\/span>Today, our funders\u00a0are Cordaid, Sida and the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights. \u201c<\/span> <\/p>\n I just wanted to\u00a0draw your attention\u00a0that the European Union began\u00a0to methodically destroy the Christian values of our country and to export apostasy long time ago. <\/span>The Holy\u00a0Scripture says in this regard:<\/span> <\/p>\n The wages of the righteous is life,\u00a0the income of the wicked, punishment. (Proverbs of Solomon 10:16)(NASB)<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Centuries ago the countries from the Western Europe sent missionaries to all countries and had a huge impact on spreading the Gospel message in the world, today these countries\u00a0are a mission field\u00a0that requires an urgent involvement of Christians around the world by\u00a0proclaiming the Gospel and making disciples.<\/span> The reality shows that the greatest attention of missions and churches around the world is directed towards the window 10\/40 which is considered to be the area less evangelized in the world.<\/span> It is true that we must do mission in the countries of the 10\/40 window and I think with much joy of those many brothers and sisters from Moldova who work with dedication in the countries of this window, so that the Gospel is shared more and more.<\/span> It is not the same with\u00a0the countries of Western Europe, where, unfortunately,\u00a0the apostasy\u00a0forwards. <\/span>It is an urgent need to focus on sending missionaries who\u00a0will proclaim the Gospel and make disciples in Europe.<\/span> <\/p>\n In the next article I will come to give more details how Christian values are challenged by the European Union and what I think we have to do to\u00a0keep Christian values in our country and throughout Europe.<\/span> <\/p>\n Translated by Felicia Djugostran<\/em><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" European Union integration is a big dream for some and\u00a0a frightful ghost for others,\u00a0because it promises to bring material prosperity, and moral decadence that will destroy the basic values of society.
