I have read a poem in a magazine that our children read. It is written by Stefan Tudor, and it is named \u201cDialog between two pigs\u201d. Here is what is written in it:<\/p>\n

-Buddy, let\u2019s go out and root somewhere, <\/p>\n

Potatoes and artichokes that you see there!<\/p>\n

-No, no chance,\u00a0with wire in my snout, <\/p>\n

I am educated and I can\u2019t get out!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

The moral of this poem is that some behave \u201ceducated\u201d, because they don\u2019t have any choise and then, their education looks like the wire in a pig\u2019s snout. Maybe someone doesn\u2019t know why it is put a wire in a pig\u2019s snout. Well, it is put exactly for this, that it might not root. When\u00a0a pig has wire in its snout, it can not root, that certain wire causes a deep pain to it. <\/p>\n

I have never let school affect my education.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What did the famous writer want to say? Maybe that knowledge and education are two different things. Some think that you are as educated as much knowledge you have got and that\u2019s why, parents set more store by children\u2019s marks than on forming up their character, that is the true education. I had a discussion with a group of girls from a college, and they told me about one of their clasmate, who is very arrogant, whose mother is a teacher in the same school. The girl doesn\u2019t study and behaves arrogantly with her classmates and with her teachers, but her mother does the utmost that her girl may have the highest grades. Maybe her mother thinks that education is measured by the grades her daughter has got? Her classmates have a totally very different opinion and all people will have the same opinion. <\/p>\n

I think that education refers to common sense the mostly. That\u2019s why when we speak about an educated man, we say that \u201che has got his seven years from home\u201d,\u00a0and it means that he has common sense. This is the education that God sends to us\u00a0as we\u00a0study the Bible. At the beginning of the book of Proverbs, the wise king Solomon wrote:<\/p>\n

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:\u00a0To know wisdom and instruction,\u00a0To discern the sayings of understanding,\u00a0To receive instruction in wise behavior, righteousness, justice and equity;\u00a0To give prudence to the naive,\u00a0To the youth knowledge and discretion,\u00a0a wise man will hear and increase in learning,\u00a0and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,\u00a0To understand a proverb and a figure, the words of the wise and their riddles. (Proverbs of Solomon 1:1\u20136)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Some people set so much store by their education, that they begin to deny God\u2019s existence. The Bible writes the following about such kind of education:<\/p>\n

Professing to be wise, they became fools,\u00a0and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.\u00a0Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.\u00a0For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen (Epistle od Paul to Romans 1:22\u201325)(NASB)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
