I noticed some more indiscreet situations in a couple of young married couples and I felt uncomfortable. How should married Christians behave in public?<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\"Cum<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I was present at a time like this and I had to hide my eyes. It’s nice that young married people have a passion for each other, but there are certain things that only belong to their bedroom, not in the presence of others. We must not forget that our behavior must be sensible in order to give glory to God. For example, touching the private parts, or a passionate kiss, makes people feel uncomfortable or can be a stumbling block. Here is what God is urging us to do in His Word:<\/span><\/p>\n

so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:12 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Our behavior must be worthy, so that He may call people to His Kingdom, not drive them away.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; (Colossians 1:9-10 NASB)<\/span><\/p>\n

In a worthy way it means something that has value, that falls within certain limits or standards, something according to the circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is obvious that passionate exchanges between married people have their place in the bedroom, but not in public. These events are only for the two of them and not for the general public. I’m not talking here about simple tender hugs between the two, holding hands, etc., but about certain actions that cause discomfort to those around them, and also a bad name for those who behave like that.<\/span><\/p>\n
