This question was asked by a Russian-speaking reader and I will have to explain some terms along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

I started living in a civil marriage at the age of 17. I am now 29 and a year ago we registered our marriage, but after living with my husband for 11 years we cannot have children. I wonder why many prostitutes who have had abortions can have children, and I, who have never had an abortion, cannot have them. Whether I take treatment or not, God does not give me children. Answer me, for what sins does this happen to me?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\"De<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dear lady, we live in a time when people have moved away from God and changed their values so far that they call debauchery “love” and cohabitation “marriage.” What in Russia is called “civil marriage” is not marriage, but cohabitation and debauchery. Civil marriage is the one that was registered at the civil status office without having officiated the wedding at the church. I assume that the marriage you are in now was registered only at the registry office without marrying at church. If so, then you are now in a civil marriage, and until then you have lived in cohabitation and therefore in fornication. The years you lived together without being married were years when you dishonored marriage, and the Bible says:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Marriage <\/span>is to be held<\/span><\/i> in honor among all, and the <\/span>marriage<\/span><\/i> bed <\/span>is to be<\/span><\/i> undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.\u201d (Hebrews 13:4 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The fact that you cannot conceive children now may be one of the consequences of the fornication you lived in until you were legally married. I advise you to repent fully of this sin and all other sins. Start studying the Bible with your husband, and especially start with the New Testament, so that you can fully understand the message of salvation and enter into the New Covenant with the Lord Jesus. Only in this way will you receive full forgiveness for all your sins, and you will also receive the Holy Spirit, who will guide you to live a righteous life.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you haven’t done the church wedding yet, hurry to do this.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the right time, when God wills, He will also give you children. Until then, however, I advise you to adopt children. There are many children in the world who suffer because they have been abandoned or, in certain circumstances, accidents, etc. they lost their parents. Make an effort to adopt children. I recently met a man who, when he was not yet 30, had cancer and had to endure several courses of chemotherapy, after which the doctors told him that he would never be able to conceive children. He and his wife worked hard to adopt children, and this took many years, but they eventually succeeded. Just 7 months after the baby was adopted, his wife became pregnant and gave birth to a wonderful baby boy. Now his joy is even greater because his wife is pregnant again and love reigns in their family.<\/span><\/p>\n
