I read today in the news about the following initiative:<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Women’s Tribune” coalition, which brings together the Forum of Women’s Organizations and the “Casa Marioarei Refuge” Association, calls for tougher administrative sanctions against advertisers who exploit the sexual image of women. You can read this article in its entirety.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is precisely because women are presented by some as sexual goods that makes men look at them only as sexual objects and no longer have respect for them. Holy Scripture teaches men as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The good thing is that the women in these organizations have come to understand the destructive effect of these billboards in the city. We thank the mayor’s office for taking action last year and removing a large part of these panels, but still, there are still many, many panels and indecent images. At least, I don’t know if you noticed what pictures are on the windows of the “Gemini” store that is towards the council park, right at the stop of the trolleybus.<\/span><\/p>\n

We must all unite who understand the importance of this action and support this initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n
