An analysis of the latest statements made by Pope Francis on civil partnerships between people of the same sex.<\/span><\/p>\n

Christian Newsnet reported\u00a0 the statements made by the Pope in Rome regarding same-sex civil partnerships:<\/span><\/p>\n

“In a revolutionary statement for the Catholic Church, Pope Francis announced that he supports the civil partnership between people of the same sex in opposition to the official position of the Vatican in this regard, but also that of his predecessors, reports the Catholic News Agency broadcast in Rome : \u201cHomosexuals have the right to be part of a family. They are children of God and have the right to a family. No one should be expelled or made to suffer because of this,” Pope Francis said in the documentary, referring to his approach to the Catholic Church’s pastoral care for the LGBT community. The pope then made it clear that he was referring to the implementation of civil partnership by law. “We need to create a civil partnership law. In this way, they will have the protection of the law. I was involved in supporting such laws,” said the Pope. The Pope discussed Civil Partnership in the documentary “Francesco,” which premiered on October 21, as part of the Rome Film Festival. Someone wrote in the comments that “we should not expect anything else from the Pope, because he is not a man born again.” It is true, but the Pope is a representative with great influence worldwide. This man’s statements matter a lot. They shape the conceptions that are in the world. The Catholic Church is quite conservative, keeping the biblical position on the subject of homosexuality. I will analyze one by one each sentence spoken by Pope Francis.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.Homosexuals have the right to be part of a family<\/b><\/h2>\n

The pope says homosexuals have the right to be part of a family. But God is the One who created the family. He created us as men and women to start families. When He brought the woman to the man, He said:<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Marriage is a mystery, because it represents the image of a heavenly relationship. It is the image of the relationship that is between Christ and His church. Marriage was left for us by God, who said that it must “<\/span>be held<\/span><\/i> in honor among all, and the <\/span>marriage<\/span><\/i> bed <\/span>is to be<\/span><\/i> undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.” (Hebrews 13: 4) If the sexually immoral and adulterers dishonor marriage, then how can we say that homosexuals have the right to be part of a family? Homosexuality is not part of God’s plan for the family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s look at some Scripture texts that speak directly to homosexuality. The book of Leviticus in chapter 20 lists forbidden sexual intercourse, including homosexuality:<\/span><\/p>\n

If <\/span>there is<\/span><\/i> a man who sleeps with a male as those who sleep with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they must be put to death. <\/span>They have brought<\/span><\/i> their own deaths upon themselves. (Leviticus 20:13 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The God who created us, who gave us life, says that homosexuality is a grave sin, worthy of death. Also in the book of Leviticus 18:22 it is written:<\/span><\/p>\n

You shall not sleep with a male as one sleeps with a female; it is an abomination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God calls homosexuality ABOMINATION, DISGUSTING, a grievous sin worthy of death.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Romans 1, God speaks of the sinful state of mankind, a state in which he came because men considered themselves wise and abandoned God:<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature,and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. (Romans 1:26-27 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homosexuality is called, first of all, a degrading passion, a practice against nature, a wandering. Scripture affirms these things. Pope Francis, who claims to be God’s deputy here on earth, should have spoken according to the Scriptures. He now goes against the official doctrine of the Catholic Church, which until now had a solid position based on the Scriptures.<\/span><\/p>\n

At 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 it is written:<\/span><\/p>\n

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor <\/span>the<\/span><\/i> greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.\u00a0 (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The homosexuals referred to here are men who fulfill the role meant for women. Both they and the sodomites will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Let no one be mistaken about this. Jude 1:7 says:<\/span><\/p>\n

J<\/b>ust as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these <\/span>angels<\/span><\/i> indulged in sexual perversion and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. (NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As you can see, homosexuals cannot have a family. This is against nature. Pope Francis’ statements are contrary to God’s Word.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following statement was made by Pope Francis:<\/span><\/p>\n

2.They are children of God and have the right to a family<\/b><\/h2>\n

The pope said they have the right to start gay families. It is true that all people, including homosexuals, were created by God and were created in His image and likeness, except that the Bible does not allow us to call them God’s children. Open the Gospel of John, chapter 8:42-43:<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus said to them, \u201cIf God were your Father, you would love Me, for I came forth from God and am here; for I have not even come on My own, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand what I am saying? <\/span>It is<\/span><\/i> because you cannot listen to My word. (NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Those who are not God’s children cannot stand His teaching. Here is how Christ responds to those who claimed to be children of God:<\/span><\/p>\n

You are of <\/span>your<\/span><\/i> father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own <\/span>nature<\/span><\/i>, because he is a liar and the father of lies.<\/span> But because I say the truth, you do not believe Me. (John 8:44-45 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There are only two options. Either you are the child of God or the devil. This is not just about homosexuals, but about anyone who rejects God’s Word and does not want to receive it. Jesus says of such a man that he is not the child of God, but of the devil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? <\/span>\u00a0<\/b>The one who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear <\/span>them<\/span><\/i>, because you are not of God.\u201d (John 8:46-47 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God’s children listen to and fulfill the Word, taking seriously everything the Bible says, including what it says about homosexuality and any other sin. The children of the Lord live their lives in righteousness.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are not born again, you cannot be a child of God. In the Gospel of John, chapter 1, it is written what it means to be a child of God:<\/span><\/p>\n

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, <\/span>\u00a0<\/b>who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God. (John 1:12-13 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A man becomes a child of God when he is born through faith in Jesus Christ. If you do not have the experience of being born again, you cannot become a child of God. Don’t be fooled by the Pope’s words. He speaks his own ideas. If the Pope were from God, He would speak His Words.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if homosexuals are caught in a serious passion, they can also become children of the Lord. In the Bible we have a testimony about homosexuals who became His children:<\/span><\/p>\n

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor <\/span>the<\/span><\/i> greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you are gay or lesbian, then I want you to know that there is hope. Do not try to reassure your conscience with this statement from the Pope, for he is far from what the Bible says. Do not be mistaken in believing that you can continue to practice this sin and God will forgive you. You need to know that there is hope for you too. There are many men in the world who have believed in the Lord Jesus and have given up the sin of homosexuality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another statement:<\/span><\/p>\n

3.No one has been made to suffer because of this<\/b><\/h2>\n

In other words, any homosexual must be accepted in his position, so that no one confronts him or says anything to him. The Pope is deceiving you, my dears. You are removed from the Kingdom of God, because you indulge in this sin, just as all other sinners. For this sin and for your unbelief you will suffer the punishment of eternal fire. The Bible says that you already suffer the punishment and go toward it.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.We must have a law on civil partnership<\/b><\/h2>\n

He also said he was involved in creating such laws. I liked what Iulian Necea said in an article on the Christian Newsnet website: “It is totally unwise to deceive man, giving him a legal framework for his sin.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The official position of the Catholic Church on homosexuality, which was sharp and biblical, was published on the Catholic website. I believe that the statements made by the Pope will negatively affect thinking around the world. This will also make our school children vulnerable. Therefore, we must not waste time, but teach them, before someone else poisons their minds. I think parents need to think seriously about homeschooling and prepare for serious confrontations.<\/span><\/p>\n
