Peace, brother Vasile! I have a question. In my prayer I call on the blood of the Lord, which washes away sins. The blood of the Lord has power, many pray like that, but others say it is not good. My question is: is it good or not?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The blood of Jesus Christ was brought as a ransom for the sins of mankind, so that all who believe in the Savior and choose to be His disciples can obtain perfect forgiveness. The apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Ephesus:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201c<\/b>In Him (Jesus Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace\u201d (Ephesians 1:7 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Some of the followers of the gospel of prosperity, but also people who identify with the Catholic Church, have begun to promote this teaching contrary to what is written in the Bible. They state that “the invocation, as often as possible, of the Precious Blood is necessary for the protection of our souls and bodies, as well as of the goods which God has entrusted to us for use.” I invite you to read some of the prayers that are recommended by people who teach to invoke the blood of Christ in prayer:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I curse every work of darkness in my life to dry to the roots with the blood of Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n

I overcome, paralyze and erase the spirit of demolition through the blood of Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n

I draw a circle of Jesus’ blood around me.<\/span><\/p>\n

I draw the line of blood protection around my property.<\/span><\/p>\n

You cannot put any disease on me, because I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.<\/span><\/p>\n

I sprinkle the blood of Jesus on all my property.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How do you like these prayers (statements, declarations, etc.)? Do you see in them the spirit of the Scriptures or a spirit of paganism?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Neither the Lord Jesus nor the apostles promoted such a teaching. The people who promote it try to convince us that only the frequent invocation of the blood of Jesus Christ in prayer will bring answers to prayers and will bring special benefits. God, on the contrary, tells us not to pray as the heathen does, muttering the same words and making pointless repetitions. And in order for our prayers to be heard, they must come from sincere hearts and be according to God’s will. He who studies the Scriptures knows when God does not listen to prayers and will do everything to please God. It is the responsibility of the ministers of the gospel to teach people how to pray correctly and to urge them to pray.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To those who follow this teaching of “invoking the blood of Christ” in prayer, I urge you to set aside a notebook and then read the entire New Testament carefully, and when you encounter the word prayer or a prayer of the Savior, apostles, or other people of God, write in that notebook everything you learned about how they prayed and how we should pray. This is how you will see for yourself if yours is the right kind of prayer or if you need to change something. May God enlighten you in prayer, hear your prayers, and keep you well rooted in the sound teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
