Many Christians see politics as dirty and that God’s people have nothing to look for there, because it would risk compromising themselves, and compromising the entire Christian community, which they indirectly represent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday, as I was finishing my study of the book of Esther, God drew my attention to verse 3 of chapter 10, which presents the Jew Mordecai, the second man after the pagan king Ahasuerus:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews and in favor with his many kinsmen, one who sought the good of his people and one who spoke for the welfare of his entire nation.\u201d (Esther 10:3 NASB)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What a beautiful feature God gives a politician. Why? Because Mordecai, although he lived in a one hundred percent pagan empire, was able to keep himself holy before God and seek the good of the people. He lived without compromise both before he became a statesman and in the high position he received from God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Someone once said that politics is too serious a field to be run by people without integrity. That is why I support my brother Peter Costea, whom I have known for more than 12 years as a God-fearing man, a modern-day Mordecai. He is running independently in this year’s European parliamentary elections, on behalf of Romania. He is a professional with over 28 years of experience in the field of law, and a man of his word. I believe that such people must make laws in the European Parliament and I pray daily that God will raise him to this position.<\/span><\/p>\n

I urge you to vote for Peter Costea on May 26. Position 16 in the ballot paper.<\/span><\/p>\n
