There are many Christians who preach the gospel through social networks, but they do not have discipline in it. Some, seeing that they have no immediate results from their work, let their hands down and lose their motivation. Others post only when they have inspiration. Others stop working, reasoning that they do not have enough time for this service. Maybe some of you will find yourselves in such situations. In this article I want to come up with some tips to help you create a discipline in promoting the Word of God on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Create a monthly posting schedule<\/b><\/h2>\n

You cannot have discipline in anything unless you have a good plan of action. It is the same with the Gospel. You need a detailed planning of your posts on social networks if you want to achieve high results. Therefore, it is good to develop a monthly calendar of your posts, a plan with what you want to post daily. You can create this calendar on your Google account or in a Word or Excel document.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Start your calendar with setting goals. Set 5-10 goals. These do not need to be general, but very concrete. For example, “To promote my church” is a general purpose, but “To promote the spiritual growth seminar of my church from the date\u2026 ” is a specific purpose. “To proclaim the gospel to my friends on facebook” is a general purpose, but “To distribute articles about repentance on the website of Christian Moldova” is a specific purpose. Write down all your goals in the calendar. When you set your goals, think first of all the Christian events that you will personally attend in that month or which church or mission you are a part of. For example, the Association “English for a new life” organizes between July 19-29 the traditional English camp “English for a New Life Camp”. I personally will not attend this camp, because during this time I teach at the International Mission School, but I intend to promote it in my posts, because I want a large number of children and young people to come to this camp and to hear the gospel and become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Another goal I set for myself this month – to promote the courses that are taught at the journalism faculty of the International Mission School in which I teach.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Once you have set your goals, go straight to the posting schedule. If you work in Word or Excel, make a table of 3 columns. In the first column write the date of posting. The second column will be titled: Content of the post, and the third column – The result I expect. Plan the content of your posts according to your goals. For example, one of your goals might sound like this: “To share my impressions from studying the book The Acts of the Apostles in my study group.” Respectively, if your Bible study group runs every Thursday, then you will schedule 4 posts per month, Thursday, after study time. Also, next to each post write the result you want to get as a result of posting the message. For example, one result you want to follow in your post about the book of Acts is that people join your Bible study group. Respectively, at the end of the posting they will be invited to your Bible study group. This is where a very important principle emerges: do not make posts for the sake of posting, but\u00a0 always follow the results.<\/span>

\n<\/span>It takes time to make up the calendar, so reserve two-three hours at the end of each month for planning.<\/span>

Post daily<\/b><\/h2>\n

Once you have prepared the calendar, discipline yourself to post daily. I don’t think you want to stop with a half-done thing. Set your time for daily posting. Some days you might be busy with other things or in an area where there is no internet connection. In this case, schedule your posts in advance, using the Hootsuite program. This program also allows you to post the same content on multiple social networks simultaneously. There will also be some posts that will need more work. For example, a video format, which involves script preparation, filming and editing. Therefore, always check what you have to prepare for 3 days in advance. Always post motivationally and provide as much important information as possible in the post. For example, if you are advertising a Bible study manual, make sure you have given a motivational description and told your friends where they can study this course and where they can get the manual. A very important thing is to check your post for expression and grammatical mistakes. Read the text well before posting. I will write more in the next article on this topic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not give up daily discipline<\/b><\/h2>\n

Probably, after reading this article you will be motivated to make a calendar and start posting daily on your profile, but after a while you will stop intensifying, because they will ask you for other things no less important. Or, you may not have a positive reaction from your readers, or even face negative feedback. It is important not to give in under any pretext. Many times I have met people who in private discussions told me that they follow me closely on Facebook, but they never left any Like or comment. That is why you should not be discouraged when people do not react and you do not receive encouragement from your friends. Even better, ask yourself how often you comment on your friends’ posts and how much you encourage them in the service they do in the gospel on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do you do when you have no inspiration?<\/b>
\n<\/span><\/h2>\n

I met Christians who, after being instructed to post regularly on a Facebook page of their church or mission, I realized that they had been doing nothing for a long time, claiming that they had no inspiration for posts. It is true that each of us reaches a crisis of ideas at a certain stage, but in the Gospel this cannot be an excuse to stop our activity. An authentic Christian does not allow himself to be driven by emotions and does not give in easily. Most of the time the lack of inspiration is caused precisely by the lack of a posting schedule. When you put aside time for planning your posts and think about each post, you will surely come up with less excuses like this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Focus on the result, not the process<\/b>
\n<\/span><\/h2>\n

An essential element in the work on social networks is the analysis of posts. There is a danger of getting into a routine and focusing more on the process than on the outcome. Put time aside every day to analyze the results of each post. Think about how you can improve your content so that you achieve the goal set out in your calendar. Ask your friends who are doing a similar job what they think about your posts, and what recommendations for improvement they have for you.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

May God help you to do your job well with all your passion and perseverance and to enjoy people who have returned to Christ with all their heart, who are baptized and actively involved in the process of discipleship.
