The next question relates to the practice of tithing:<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to know if it is necessary to give the tithe from aid received (donations or a small parcel)?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When I received this question, I thought about the Christians in Macedonia about whom it is written:<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, brethren, we wish to make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia, that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality. For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, begging us with much urging for the favor [a]of participation in the support of the saints, and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and to us by the will of God. (2 Corinthians 8:1-5) (<\/span>NASB<\/span>)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Christian who is full of the love of Christ will always be thinking about others and their needs. It does not matter to him whether this money is from donations or from the wages, or from the things he sold. He thinks of others, about the needs of others, and about the needs of the ministry of God. Whenever he has the opportunity to take part, he does it with joy, as these Christians in Macedonia did. It is a great thing in our generosity to start from the needs that we can fulfil and God wants us to fulfill. If we fully give ourselves to the Lord, we will not even go so far as to ask whether we should give tithes from the gifts received. In truth, we receive everything as a gift and through God’s mercy.<\/span><\/p>\n
