How many mediators does a true Christian have? I found in Scripture that there are 2. The texts from the Bible are Romans 8:26-27, 34; Timothy 2:5 and Hebrew 7:25.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is so; the Bible tells us about the existence of one Mediator between God and men, but presents two; and at the beginning, it may create confusion if we don’t understand what it is used for and what context these affirmations are in. Let’s analyze each of the texts you referenced.<\/p>\n

In Romans 8, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are presented as mediators<\/h2>\n

In the first text, it is written:<\/p>\n

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for\u00a0we do not know how to pray as we should, but\u00a0the Spirit Himself intercedes for\u00a0us with groanings too deep for words; and\u00a0He who searches the hearts knows what\u00a0the mind of the Spirit is, because He\u00a0intercedes for the saints according to\u00a0the will of\u00a0God. (Romans 8:26-27)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The greek word translated here as mediator is \u1f51\u03c0\u03b5\u03c1\u03b5\u03bd\u03c4\u03c5\u03b3\u03c7\u03ac\u03bd\u03c9<\/strong> huperentugch\u00e1n\u014d<\/em>. It is formed from the words\u00a0Hup\u00e9r<\/span> – for, on behalf of; and\u00a0entugch\u00e1n\u014d<\/span> – to intercede. The word indicates the action of interceding on behalf of another and making a petition. Regarding Jesus Christ, the word\u00a0\u1f10\u03bd\u03c4\u03c5\u03b3\u03c7\u03ac\u03bd\u03c9<\/strong> , without huper. They have the same meaning.<\/p>\n

Who is the one who\u00a0condemns? Christ Jesus is He who\u00a0died, yes, rather who was raised, who is\u00a0at the right hand of God, who also\u00a0intercedes for us. (Romans 8:34)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The word used in 1 Timothy is completely different:<\/p>\n

For there is\u00a0one God,\u00a0and\u00a0one mediator also between God and men,\u00a0the\u00a0man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Lord Jesus Christ is called\u00a0\u039c\u03b5\u03c3\u03af\u03c4\u03b7\u03c2<\/strong> (mes\u00edtou)<\/em>\u00a0here and is used for mediator: “one who mediates” between two parties with the goal of producing peace. Jesus Christ accomplished this through his sacrifice. In this sense, Jesus Christ is the only Mediator, because only through His sacrifice on the cross is that the reconciliation of men with God was possible.<\/p>\n

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Mediator who produced peace between us and God through His sacrifice on the cross. He is also the One who intercedes for us all our days. This way, the Holy Spirit intercedes and makes a petition for us. What a great grace we have! Let us not disregard God’s grace but live properly, serving in the gospel with all our heart and power.<\/p>\n
