Last week we have suffered greatly. I was pregnant and lost a baby at 5 months. I was at the church that evening, and slight contractions began. I went to an emergency room, but after they examined me, the doctors did not give me any medicine and sent me home. I insisted that an ultrasonography be made and give me some shrinkage, but they refused me anyway and sent me home. I gave birth in the morning, but the baby was too small to live. I want know whether it is right for a Christian to sue for medical malpractice, or must we let things be made to be held accountable? I know that the Lord is in control, and if He wanted it, my child would have lived and be born on time without the doctors intervening. However, when doctors are indifferent and negligent and do not do their duty, there is a danger that many women and families will still suffer. Will\u00a0it right in such situations to remain silent or to file\u00a0a complaint?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Go and confront these doctors<\/h2>\n

I urge you to go and confront all doctors who have been guilty of this crime. They have disregarded their responsibilities, and you can not leave things like that. Just as you said, if you do nothing, things will be repeated. I would like\u00a0to believe\u00a0there is a very small number of medical workers doing so, but if this bad and careless attitude is tolerated, it can spread and take many other lives. That is why I feel that first of all, you should go to all the medical workers who were involved. You have to deal with these doctors. If they will recognize and ask for forgiveness, carry on the discussion so as to make sure that this does not happen again.<\/p>\n

If they do not recognize their mistake, go and sue them<\/h2>\n

If they do not recognize this situation and will not ask for forgiveness, then I assume they will do so in the future. That is why I think it is right to go and sue, and law enforcement officials are also involved in eliminating such an attitude. This is not just about the people who were directly involved, but it is about a bad attitude they have and which can be conveyed to others.<\/p>\n

In the epistle of Paul to Romans, in chapter 13 it is written:<\/p>\n

Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. (Romans 13:1-4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Here I wanted to point out some aspects. All the systems we have: judicial, police, and others were set up by God for the good of the people. When things are not brought before this structure, it can not work. The fact that there is a lot of corruption in state machinery is another thing, but if every citizen does not do his part well, then this machine can not work for the good of the people.<\/p>\n

Therefore, if you do not have the freedom to believe that doctors have repented the way they did, then go to court to get the state involved. If they do not get involved or cover each other, then you have to take part in curbing such an attitude and saving other lives. If you do not get the right position it means that you endanger many other people, because that attitude will affect many other lives.<\/p>\n

May God comfort you, give you healing and comfort for the loss you have had. May He bless you to conceive again children who develop and be born healthy and will obey God.<\/p>\n
